Things will go right back to where they were. Remember after 9/11? We all had flags an outside our homes, bringing treats to firehouses, clapping for cops?
As I recall it was one year later when I saw a guy flip off a fire engine trying to access an intersection and all the flags were gone.

That is true. We shut down the entire country for 9/11 for months afterward as well as the rest of the world. After 9/11 billions of people world wide were locked down in their homes. Sure comparing a worldwide pandemic to 9/11 is an accurate comparison.
all across the free world private companies are attacking this problem with some amazing results.
according to Dr. Faucci (sp) there are "a couple of handfuls" of vaccines in various testing phases that look promising.
there is a fast track process to get blood plasma from recovered patients that will very likely help currently ill patients.
there is a company producing antigen treatment now that might very well shortcut many of the treatments
there are multiple anti-viral medications coming on line
there are multiple trials going on to treat sick people that are going to give us real data points and solutions in a very short period of time.
British Super-Brain who brought is the Dyson vacuum is about to ramp up the production of a brand new ventilator.
American companies are very close to ramping up ventilator production as well
An American medical company has devised a 3D printing process to turn 1 ventilator into 4. They are publishing the code for free. they are working mass producers to get this device out to the market quickly
M95 masks that are in short supply will be on line producing hundreds of millions of masks very quickly
in a couple of months we will be very capable of handling this thing.
once that happens pent up activity will drive the economy.
stop freaking out people. It will take time and effort but the great thing about free people is they work really hard to achieve. this thing is going to push us to be better. we will be fine.
Maybe the custom of shaking hands will go away. Personally, I'd rather see it replaced with the Asian custom of bowing. Or, in deference to American sensibilities, we could just nod our heads for a greeting.
Look back thru history, powerful civilizations eventually fell, different things brought them down, but the results were the same.
Look at Rome, how powerful it once was, and it fell...but Rome still exists today, I think the US will go thru the same thing, the US will still be here, but it wont be super power anymore.
Do you think hospitals cut capacity for no good reason? Why do you think they made the cuts? Because they had to serve nonpaying customers (both American and illegal alien) and that cost money, eventually forcing them to cut capacity and other expenses.
I really do wonder where peoples heads are.
100% false. America has not cut hospital capacity. related to no paying customers.
there has been a drop in number of people in the hospital over time which has led to a reduction in need but we have not cut beds. over time occupancy remains constant
