I had no idea why Prince Harry married somebody as classless as Meghan Markle.

Then I realized that his mother was Princess Di. What a role model she must have been.

Good. We shouldn't be funding security for those two spoiled brats
The self-indulged, self-absorbed, mega-wealthy royal brats, Harry and Meghan, should pay their own way or have their rich buddies pay their way and cater to them.

They came to the US to suck us dry financially. No thanks.

Go back to UK or Canada (sorry Canada).

Yep, we'll have none of it.

Granted, it won't surprise me if LA or CA decide to provide them with security. While that should be criminal, that's ultimately a decision that California and LA taxpayers will have to push back on if it does happen.

Is there any evidence that they asked the US government to pay for their security?

Nothing specific, but its highly probable. And not from them personally (that's not how it works). Their UK security representatives probably asked (they'd be guilty of malfeasance if they didn't). And given that they are still senior members of the RF (until a couple of days from now I think), they would normally be entitled to it.

I will give Trump props here: he’s very very good at telling his disciples who to be outraged about. No need for facts or details, just names. Let the foaming at the mouth begin because pandemic schmamdemic, Harry and Meghan are the real problem!

if they want to stay in Hollywood more power to them. They can pay for their own security. I have to believe what Trump said because its in line with what this irresponsible government would do.

It's likely they expect somebody to pay for it -- Canada said they would not.

The Megxit process will finally be complete on Tuesday when the couple will stand down as senior Royals.

A royal source said the pair's stepping down removes any obligation on the US government to pay for their security.

The UK and US have a long standing reciprocal agreement when it comes to bodyguards protecting diplomats and members of the Royal family. ‘There is a reciprocal agreement between the US that allows protection officers to carry their weapons. But Harry is no longer a serving royal and that is why his protection in Canada from the Mounties was withdrawn.

Given Meghan's criticism of the US leader – and snubbing him at a Buckingham Palace banquet – he might not feel so generous to the pair.

Harry has also been disparaging of Trump saying he has 'blood on his hands' during a prank telephone call when he was fooled into thinking he was talking to climate activist Greta Thunberg.

The couple will now have to plead with Trump to cover the costs.

If he refuses they will have to pay for private security or the UK will continue to foot the bill.
The LAPD and California Governor Newsom's Office did not return a request from DailyMail.com about their involvement in the couple's security plans.

Canadian officials repeatedly said they would not pay for Meghan and Harry's security when the Sussexes quit the UK and made the move to Canada.

Their protection from the Canadian Royal Mounted Police outside their home in Vancouver was due to cease on the same day that their status as working members of the royal family ends on March 31.

The last minute move was a surprise -- Harry and Meghan have both said publicly they would NEVER live in the USA as long as Donald Trump was President. Looks like many of the Canadians are happy to see them leave. The couple left behind their borrowed £10million mansion on Canada's tranquil Vancouver Island to join their team of Hollywood agents and publicists, who they have hired to launch their new careers. Perhaps their team of Hollywood agents can pay for their Security.

It's no skin off our nose whatever they decide to do ..... as long as US Citizen Taxpayers are not expected to FUND any of their Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous.

It was good enough for the Queen of England and The Prime Minister of Canada to not pay for their Security ...... it's certainly fine for the President of the United States to agree with both the UK & Canada
