186,175 petitions are from Indian nationals. In other words, Indian nationals alone would use up two years' quota. Good luck with "diversity" in IT industry.

-------

USCIS received a whopping 275,000 unique H1B registrations or applications in the new H1B Registration online system for fiscal year 2021. This is the first time USCIS has received so many applications (registrations) in the history of H1B Program. The previous highest was 236,000 petitions in FY 2017.

A big reason why Americans won't go into the IT/tech industry is due to this issue...

There's nothing preventing Americans from going into this field now.

Tech needs H1Bs because Americans are not fulfilling the demand.

They are fulfilling demand, it is just employers, using contractors like sysplus, sysplus undercuts others by using cheap visas.

It is BS and you know it.

It is the same argument as "illegals are doing the jobs Americans won't do".

Remember when Disney made employees training their visa replacements? What, there were no Americans do do the job when they were in fact doing it and trained the replacements?

It is not BS. You can easily make 6 figures in tech if you are willing to put in the work. It requires intellectual effort, focus, and some level of intelligence.

Not enough qualified Americans in the field to fill positions.

+1

We've given over our country to other counties via our dependence on them for workforce and manufacturing.

Can't rep you for this so--rep, rep, rep.

Just say NO.

Any time a company whines about having not enough qualified Americans, or a severe shortage of talent pool for many job openings, it is code word for, we need more H-1B visas.

Can easily see through those fakes. And the insidious thing is, once one H-1B visa employee gets his hooks into the system and eventually achieves a position of power/influence to pick other job applicants, then he/she will only pick those of the same race/ethnicity. Thus, perpetuating the shutout of not only native Americans, but Americans that are not of the same 'tribe.'

Just. Say. No.

Americans first.
