Comply? Why would anyone comply?
Because there have been 400,335 cases of Coronavirus in the US and 12,841 of them have died.
That's 3.2%.
Stay at home.
2000 is almost exactly as projected for today and the trend is, unfortunately, up.
It's due to the approx 4 week delay between onset and death in many cases (ventilated) - and 4 weeks ago Disney World was full and most people were still doing stupid things.
It's only 4 weeks after the real isolating started that we'd see a drop. IMHO, we are only about 10 days into people being much more careful everywhere so that means, against as projected, that peaks will occur from mid-April on.
We still don't know what is going to happen in many rural areas and places like GA, but so far it doesn't look good because some of these places didn't lock down as tight...as soon.
It is incredible to look at how California slowed and Washington State and a few others....almost instantly the "new cases" goes down.
It would have been nice if the PANIC NOW sign in the White House had went on in early March instead of late March.
Personally, I think it would be better, & in the long run, more beneficial to go with Douglas Adams' advice:
Quote:
In the series, Don't Panic is a phrase on the cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.[4] The novel explains that this was partly because the device "looked insanely complicated" to operate, and partly to keep intergalactic travellers from panicking.[49] "It is said that despite its many glaring (and occasionally fatal) inaccuracies, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy itself has outsold the Encyclopedia Galactica because it is slightly cheaper, and because it has the words 'DON'T PANIC' in large, friendly letters on the cover."[4]
Arthur C. Clarke said Douglas Adams' use of "don't panic" was perhaps the best advice that could be given to humanity.[50]
