The annoying thing is that the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party -- the news media -- is going to flip this. If fewer than 100,000 people die, they're going to start shrieking, "Trump destroyed the economy for nothing!! Traitor!! Impeach him ten more times!!"
What I wouldn't give for a 1000 times more honesty and a 1000 times less bias in the news media.
And if Trump called a national emergency, called in the military and police to force people in their homes, force businesses to shut down, force people to manufacture ventilators and masks, what would you be saying about him.
Oh, that's an easy one: See, I told you trump wanted to be a dictator, and now he is...
The reaction to these numbers is predictable. If we do the right thing, by extreme social distancing, the numbers will be lower and everyone will complain that we overreacted, when in fact, we did the right thing.
To the OP, are you somehow trying to pin this good news on Trump? You can thank the individual states who led on their own when just 4 weeks ago the federal government couldn't get their message straight for the lowering of numbers.
Of course. They couldn’t have done it without him.
Wonderful grade A insight. Wouldn't Bannon of started his genocide while he was working in the white house? Is he waiting for Trump's second term to genocide? I'd love to hear more.
It's just what I think of him. And the other guy, too, that was fired more recently, Bolton, the same type of person. Bolton was fired shortly before the outbreak.
That is pretty much every country outside of a few Asian countries.
Some more than others like Italy, Sweden, UK, US, Florida, and Georgia. Washington, Ohio, and California took it pretty seriously from the get go, but without national policies, it is more difficult to control.
Trump did virtually nothing to help the situation. He told the States to figure it out themselves, so they did their best and coordinated as best they could without National leadership.
The local liberal leaders are who caused NY to have the problem it has by telling people theres no reason not to use the subway, not to go out to the restaurants; even after the China restriction. Pelosi was parading in local SFs Chinatown encouraging people to go there.Your hate and rage belongs on them, not Trump.
I am sure more of this will come out in the weeks to come. We know the routine, deny, project, lather and rinse, repeat.
