I’ve had 2 FB friends and a relative all post a variation on wishing insufferable pain and death from the virus to Trump and his supporters. They legitimately think he and his supporters are evil so they feel justified. How many people really think this way? I can understand if you don’t support him but wishing harm on him and 65 million people is over the top.

The flip answer? More than one. Less than 175 million.

The serious answer? More people than I would have ever guessed three years ago. Less people than social media would have you think.

Of course not.

I hope Trump loses in November. In the meantime, I hope he improves his governing style, which he has recently done for example, by finally taking the Covid-19 seriously.

I would bet that we talk to many posters on this very forum who wish for that, but won't ever say it out loud.

People online are full of hot air. It does expose them as haters though.

There's a poster in the "Silver Lining" thread wishing for Democrats to die from CV-19, too, so that large metros would lose some of their sway when it comes to EC votes.

This sort of depravity is not specific to one side of the aisle or the other, sadly.

I'm sure as many that want Dems to die as well. I've heard it on here. And they've been deleted by this point so there is no proof but others know what they've said.
