Andrew Cuomo says states are outbidding each other and raising prices for critical coronavirus medical supplies

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned that states are counter-productively bidding up the prices of critical medical equipment and protective gear as they attempt to amass supplies from manufacturers.

States have also been outbid by the federal government. Last week, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker told Trump he was denied three major orders of equipment because the feds had outbid him.

And the propaganda mongers at Fox are lying about this and how Trump is getting in the way of supplies getting to the states of governors he does not like. Kinda dumb, because if everywhere is not under control, EVERY state is in deep doodoo.

but argued that many manufacturers are looking for the highest bidder, thus pitting states against each other in a race to gather limited supplies.

There is a thing called price gouging....

by not running all of this at the federal level and keeping it well organized. You know, like any rational leader would do.

Trump isn't doing this, our system is.

We have a system in this country that health care be delivered in a for profit model.

That means market forces like supply and demand are in play. With a shortage of supply, that means prices have to rise to sort out where the supply goes.

OP, would you favor switching to a universal coverage model where decisions such as mask allocation could be made based on expert medical advice rather than profit?

My money says.... That this OP has an 8x10 glossy of Trump in his nightstand, and it’s the first thing he sees when he wakes up, and the last thing he sees when .....when he kisses it good night and thanks Trump for giving him a purpose in life!

What nonsense. Im asking our leadership to actually lead in a effective manner. And you turn that into "dictator"? What utter nonsense. In times of emergency we have laws that allow a president to deal with the emergency. This doesnt magically make him a dictator.

I should ask you, So are you wishing for more Americans to die due to poor handling of this?

I will withhold judgement and ask one simple question: Does it work?

More Democrat Stooge nonsense. Does it make you feel better?

After all, irrational Progressives are all about feelings and emotions. Maybe deal in facts for a change.
