Probably the same thing that makes good ole Frank think there is a plethora of unemployed Christian docs in NY.

Well, there's probably not, you're right. But if there are any, they certainly wouldn't be eligible to work at the Central Park tents anyway, which is the primary point of my post. I just hate to see any potential pool of talent wasted in a crisis like this one, especially on the basis of religion.

BTW, I think Samaritan's Purse is incredibly shortsighted in their hiring practices, given the number and skill level of Jewish physicians in New York. But hey, if they don't want to hire some of the best people who are locally available, that's their loss!
Who give a flying freak what their hiring practices are during this pandemic... They will be treating everybody, regardless of your belief(s).

If the Left is getting twisted up on this ONE small issue, they need to wake up and get with the program... Cuz I don't know if they're keeping up with current events, but we're in the middle of a serious health crisis. If you're so offended by this issue of them hiring Christians, then don't go there for treatment... NYC, still has other non-religious hospitals and clinics.

Basically, this is a non-issue, that for some odd reason(s), the Left wants to make this into... Can we just unit for this ONE freaking moment and get through this, before going super-stupid again??!! Btw, that goes for both the Left and Right.

Americans, we're pretty freaking stupid, as a collective.

This issue is why would any reputable company institute a purity test in the midst of a crisis, when people are dying and medical care is at a premium to begin with? Who does it help if competent medical personnel are turned away because they don't believe in the right god?

It makes them feel superior.

It helps bigots feel better about themselves for being bigots. That's everything that the Trump era is about.

I'm not on the "Left", and Franklin's group is the one getting "twisted up" on the small issue of requiring that their medical staff be Christians. Why can't THEY unite with everyone else during this medical crisis and just hire ALL the available doctors and other medical staff they can irrespective of their religious beliefs? Do you honeslyt think the sick and the dying care if the person trying to save them is a "bona-fide" Christian?

Sounds like the requirement is on the staff and not the people they treat !!!

I wouldn't expect them to preform abortions !!!

The key thing to focus on is if there's a test for those who can receive services. If not, no harm no foul.
