Not that I entirely buy this coming from Jake Tapper, but even if it's true, I don't have a problem with this. Yeah, in a time of crisis, you have to be measured in what you say. They shouldn't be able to get in front of the first camera they see and badmouth the President and then call him up all panicky when supplies run low. Any other time I'm sure these "officials" -- whom I'm certain are almost entirely Democrats -- would love to do the cable news thing where they give a network some gauzy headline quote about Trump. Most of the time they can do that because they probably don't have to deal with him. But when you know you're going to have to get on the phone with him or his people, people straighten up pretty quick.

It makes a lot of the comments against Trump seem a little pat. Trash talk him when you know you're going to have to see him, if you're that tough.

Or simply act like civilized adults instead of petulant, whiny children. Now is not the time for bitter partisan rivalries and scoring cheap political pot shots. Now is the time for unity and working together, if we are to achieve swift and decisive victory over this virus with minimal deaths. That should be the goal for all Americans, no?

Helping? Sure, he is handing out our money to anyone who agrees to praise him.

You celebrating socialism is not much of a surprise.

Spin on that libs!
Democrat governors have learned that they have to praise Trump in order to get aid. How disgusting is that.

I don't know, it's hard to trust or believe anything that comes out of Newsom's mouth, the guy's like a snake.

One minute he's implying Trump deliberately sent broken respirator's or didn't care, and now he's praising him.

"Sir, the only thing that gets to the Donald is to praise him.. Then he'll listen..."
