This is what right wingers complain about when they go through private companies, spout nonsense, and get cut off. Secretly they wish the government would go to Facebook or whoever and force them to accept their discourse.
LOL, you're joking with the bolded, right? I literarily laughed out loud reading it. You are going to honestly say that no leftist is against protected free speech? Have you not ever heard of Antifa? Have you not heard/read/saw how conservative speakers can't speak at places like UC Berkley, a publicly supported university for fear of the riots/protests in the past?

Sure seems like a whole lot of those folks support leftist ideologies.

Baffling comments for sure.

Indeed, you are confused.

Have you not heard of the POTUS threatening to sue television stations for playing his own words?

LOL.

Sure is baffling.

Have you heard of leftists rioting on campuses to stop people from speaking?

Classic redirection and deflection. TDS suffers can't seem to think straight. We were discussing people on the far left. I was answering that fella/person's posts on that specific point of nonsense he/she spouted.

WTH does trump have to do with anything related to this? You have come in on my posts a couple of times now and drag Trump in when no where was Trump mentioned in my posting in some weird attempt at whataboutism to counter me.

So yeah, baffling. How's about putting me on block to save yourself some annoyances.

Both the left and right are so busy throwing hand grenades out of their trenches that they lack the time to think and actually create sensible policy, rhetoric, or stances on things.

Put another way, there are a lot of disgusting things being done and said by both sides, and they’re a big part of why we can’t have nice things.

OP, you describe yourself as "rabid" a lot. That describes someone that has extremely strong beliefs and who does not tolerate any thinking that does not agree with your worldview. I call it trying to shove your beliefs up other peoples arses and expecting others to conform to your beliefs and act accordingly. In other words you try to "force" your thinking on others. This is a common trait of the left and could be why you are perceived as a rabid leftist.

I would agree. I will add that usually the far edges of either side that are really doing all of the screaming. I score center slight left and I think most people tend to sit more middle than far edge, maybe a bit closer to Bell curve, not 100% sure, just sort of thinking out loud.

I think that people should stand back a bit and figure out ways to meet in the middle a bit more to try and get things done, course not sure how the hardcore libertarian types are ever going to agree at all with the free this and government provided that that the far left crowd tends to advocate for

That’s why it probably pays to not be that hardcore/dogmatic about one’s politics. As a libertarian myself, I don’t take conventional libertarian positions to be gospel. I might be better described as part classical liberal, part agorist, part Eisenhower-type Republican, but then nobody would understand what the hell im talking about, so I default to libertarian, lol.

Anyway, you’re right that it’s probably better for all of us to be flexible, practical, and mindful about our politics and how we talk about it. I think it’s also good to take what people say in good faith until you can prove they’re not acting in good faith. That helps build a bridge of trust that we’re starting to watch crumbling before our eyes.

The left does not tolerate anyone saying anything that isn't leftist cannon. Even if you are a liberal in good standing, if you take a position that isn't LEFT, you will be destroyed.

this by itself is enough.
From the Original Post :

Thread Title --why all the constant, vague, demonizations of anything that people perceive as being on the "left?"

Radical - Radical - Radical
I tell them that my long term goal is genuinely the destruction of the Earth.

The "Left" can and will be what they are ...... it is equally fair that the "Right" can fight against this.
Turns out that Normal People do NOT want a "long term goal" that genuinely wants the "destruction of the earth" OR Globalism for some entity like China, Iran or any of our other Enemies.

I'm not "vague" about the Leftists ..... I see them for what they are, and what they do.
They will not win this War against the Citizens of the United States of America.
