NO one is resistant....you clearly don't get it and unfortunately that's not OK.

California is making masks mandatory as in anyone not wearing masks will be refuses services in grocers, take out restaurants etc

Im sure you will eventually find yourself tested, since we are so mismanaged and all here in New York.
CA already went though it and barely noticed it because the WH had not started their fear mongering yet.

You really shouldn't comment on "semantics"....COVID 19 is NOT an influenza virus therefore the disease it causes is not a "flu"

Maybe you should just stop commenting since you fail to understand even this basic fact....

No one has "already gone through it" in the US....New York hasn't even peaked yet...

Is the cause of death on the 14000 people who have already died in the US listed as "fear mongering"?

Do we do shutdowns for influenza, which kills between 50,000 and 80,000 most winters?

Seasonal flu kills 70 000, so where it the panic about that?

Medical malpractice kills 250 000 per year, so you are far more likely to be killed by your own doctor than Corona virus.

People are afraid because the government is telling them to be afraid.

Now you know.
And yet people still die from it, so the only surefire way to keep from getting it is complete isolation. Right?

Absolutely right ringwise. Why is it so hard for people to see the simplest things? It's almost as if they are arguing to smother the American economy until there is no reviving it.

Yes, some people do, and for a variety of reasons, some preventable and some not.

But if we didn't isolate, Covid19 would have really torn through the population. Unrestrained, our medical system would have been overwhelmed (more so), and more would have died than necessary.

US is about what 1.5 months in? Barely.

We do not have the testing capability (infection or antibody) to manage getting back to normal yet. We just had another problem with the 15 (5?) minute Abbott test sent out, and instead of being able to do the 1M we were only able to 88K.

We have to up our game if we want to change the stay at home order.

We can't wait for a vaccine to be developed before America gets back to work. That's ridiculous. Not everybody needs to be tested. You can test a sample to get an accurate infection rate.

Real world case in point: Teacher and assistant in a classroom of 30 folks. Teacher comes down with a fever and gets tested. Test comes back negative. There's no need to test the other people.

If test had come back positive, then yes, the others would have to tested and contacts traced.

And of those people, it's likely all of them would make a complete recovery if they have the virus.
