‘It's a sh-- sandwich': Republicans rage as Florida becomes a nightmare for Trump

https://www.politico.com/states/flor...-trump-1271172

TALLAHASSEE — The staggering unemployment exploding on President Donald Trump’s watch would worry any incumbent running for reelection, but troubles in Florida are injecting an added dose of fear into a jittery GOP.

Already anxious about Trump’s chances in the nation’s biggest swing state, Republicans now are dealing with thousands of unemployed workers unable to navigate the Florida system to apply for help. And the blowback is directed straight at Trump’s top allies in the state, Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Rick Scott.

“It’s a sh-- sandwich, and it was designed that way by Scott,” said one DeSantis advisor. “It wasn’t about saving money. It was about making it harder for people to get benefits or keep benefits so that the unemployment numbers were low to give the governor something to brag about.”

LMAO! People get the government they deserve.

They should just cut taxes on the rich. Don't worry, it will all "trickle down" eventually.

Yes - but we survived all of Mother Nature attack on us from fires to hurricanes and twisters - we will be ok.

What they are experiencing is no different than many in NY are experiencing. I have friends that have tried repeatedly to sign up and after getting through 3/4 of the application get an error. The systems are over loaded and were never meant to be able to cover this type of incoming applications and reporting.

I guess you have to be a level headed person and not someone with TDS that can sit back and realize that we are facing new challenges because our country is facing a disaster we haven't seen before and not everything is going to run smoothly. Is it frustrating - definitely but you are not alone. What exactly do you think any politician is going to be able to do to fix this? Our site crashed 2 days ago - I guess we should all blame this on Cuomo - but I don't see a topic on that here on the boards - only topics concerning Republican problems. You all need to grow up.

It's a hoax. It's all a hoax. Florida has 0% unemployment. Everybody is fully employed.

I have a half backer in my neighborhood. He is thinking of moving out of Fla.. His property taxes are so high there, he would rather pay income taxes in NC.

Why would Republicans "rage" and Democrats "jump ship" to vote Republican? President Trump is a great leader and is for the people.
