If we haven't voted, the same people would have been elected anyway. Both parties have been compromised. Both republicans and democrats have been selling out American workers. I agree that China is not our friend. It's time to rely less on China. But how do we convince American companies to leave China?
China gets away with almost everything. They have have concentration camps, for gods sakes. Do you really think it will be any different with the Covid-19 cover up?
China is corporate America’s Rottweiler. They are the ultimate union buster, backed by an authoritarian regime. Do you really think that the American government, which is owned by corporate America, is going to punish China for anything?
If anything, this Covid-19 crisis will be used as an opportunity to increase surveillance everywhere. Never let a crisis go to waste, as they say.

But China already has the highest death rate along all Far East territories. Why is it not possible that the culture and habits of East Asia prevent them from very high death rates? (e.g. ubiquitous face masks, no kissing)
East Asian people don't kiss each other? Then how do they make little baby East Asians?
But seriously, I do believe that the East Asian penchant for wearing face masks and adhering to social distancing and putting the overall society ahead of their own selves is what brought them through this crisis with less pain than we're facing.

So, it is now known very well that the deliberate recklessness of the Chinese government has caused great destruction of the global economy as well as the death and suffering of many. The specific issues are the concealment of the initial outbreak, lack of regulation with regard to the illegal trade of exotic species creating the huge risk of a pandemic and continued lies and deceit with regard to the spread of this disease.
In past wars (such as WW1) we required countries to pay reparations. I think we should demand China pay $10-20 Trillion as damages... I am dead serious. All our industries are melting down because of this - airlines, service, restaurants etc. It would be a travesty if there aren't consequences - if China can do this with impunity IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!!!
Trump was dead right, this IS a Chinese virus and I hold them 100% responsible for essentially everything.

And the above strategy is clearly being implemented by republicans. Republicans are ignoring Trumps handling of the coronavirus and instead attacking China for the coronavirus (when Donald Trump used the same series of lies to cover up the coronavirus as China did.)

The USA will never stop doing business with China and other low-wage countries. Why? Because it is the most effective union-busting tactic there is, and it is totally legal. Force Americans to compete with low-wage labor and you can pay lower wages and salaries. It’s really that simple.
Don’t look to either political party to change anything. Both parties are funded by the Big Business, which benefits from low wages.
