There have been death threats against Dr Fauci. He is 79 years old, working long days, and doing interviews on several TV stations each day. I would be exhausted on his schedule.
Go to any doctor with an ailment.

Stay home and get rest.
But what about my mortgage,my bills,my job?

There have been some threats not sure of the level, he is in great shape and runs 5 miles at noon time every day as a stress releiver. I feel sorry for him and Birx, they need to walk the line and get the information out without being directly critical of the president. When this is over there will be many stories regarding the disagreements with Trump. I am glad they aren't openly critical of him but you can certainly see the tension and you can read behind the lines that they are not happy with Trumps statements.
does he actually see and treats patients or just study about virus?
These days study and then go on press tours giving larger radio shows, pod and TV broadcasters 15 minutes or so as well as coming to the Presidential press briefing every few days.
have to remember though, when dr fauci is at the podium speaking...he is speaking on behalf of the us govt, (he is not getting up there and speaking his own personal opinions or theories), he is given a script just like every other official that speaks on behalf of the govt.
I assume fema probably has a lot of input on what is in the content of these speeches right now too.
