LOTS of related deaths are happening and will happen.
There will be no decent statistics, as with the disease itself, until many months or years afterward.
Humans have this unique capability of seeing what is coming....for some, who may have been hopeless already (remember, 30-40% of Americans are either in poverty or barely making it - let alone others...soldiers, domestic abuse, depression, etc.)....
Life is a delicate thing...or at least our lives individually.
There have been Coronavirus crimes and suicides around the country. But if the virus didn't push them over the edge, something else probably would have.
I don't think people will commit suicide over the virus but having the economy destroyed and their business and life savings wiped out may induce some.
Their deaths will no doubt be added to the list of covid 19 tally.
The Dems like to do the same when it comes to touting the tally of deaths by gun to pad the numbers so if suicides can be lumped into the overall death number from the virus they will do it especially if they can use it to discredit Trump.

Well, it's a fact that the Military and even Doctors have high rates. Won't these increase due to the CV?
And NOT due to financial matters?
Try to think outside of the box. A Vet who has a tendency toward suicide because he or she went to Iraq and "saw how things really were" is going to get a second dose of "how things really are". One can see that being quite depressing in the scope of "what did I fight for?".
Extroverts commuting suicide because they can't go clubbing for a couple of months? Cry me a river. . I've heard many introverts all over the net and in real life say this virus is an introverts paradise...its made people more mindful of their actions and considerate as a positive trait. Social distancing means the decibel level in our over packed break rooms is cut by more than half and we have more than double the break area as they opened up 2 meeting rooms. There are some positives. I expect work from home to become a permanently bigger thing going forward. Less greenhouse emissions commuting and flying to meet in person...like it or not that is good. Reduction in economic activity helps the environment. If the banking system can't handle it, the banking system needs to be replaced.
I wouldn't want to be in NYC during this period, not that I'm afraid of the Virus, I'd be more fearful that I'm walking down the street and someone decides to jump off their balcony and I'd be there at the wrong place, wrong time! Splat!
Nothing to worry about. New Yorkers know fine for littering are very stiff.
