That says it's more economics than race, which makes sense. Though, yes, because of historical disadvantages more minorities are less affluent on average.
But there's plenty of white people that have gotten sick and died in NYC.

It probably has more to do with density and not keeping social distance then them being Black.
Just think for a minute here...if Detroit is 79% Black then of course the majority of those getting sick would be Black.

I don't think that has to do with race. It's more about the densely packed cities being vulnerable.
The fact that Detroit is 79 percent African American is irrelevant. It's a densely packed city so it's going to be vulnerable.
NYC is one of the most racially diverse cities in the world and pretty much every kind of person is getting it there.

Race has nothing to do with it. If they didn't self isolate they are going to get the virus in greater numbers.
Just look at the Spring Breakers or the New Yorkers. They didn't self isolate and got sick.

So by your reasoning, any whites living there will be safe, correct? It's got nothing to do with living conditions there and everything to do with a person's skin color, right? And any blacks living in wealthy areas had better watch out because this virus has it in for blacks.

Oh it's still completely colorblind. You pack a ton of people into a tiny area, those people will die at much higher rates.
It's always puzzled me that north of the Mason-Dixon and west of the Mississippi, blacks almost never settle anywhere but huge cities. I grew up in a tiny Wyoming town and there were no black people living there. Not just very very few. None. Ever. There was absolutely no reason other than black people simply choose not to move there.
Anyways, rewind to March 23rd and Gazi Kodzo aka Black Hitler and Black Supremacy thought leader had the following to say. Just to translate, when Gazi says White Power, it means white people refusing to go extinct. Truly one of the most hateful human beings you can find anywhere.
At the time, COVID-19 was killing mostly non-black people and many in the black supremacy world were celebrating it as the comeuppance for whitey and all their filthy colonization, bla, bla, bla.
And then ... it starts killing a lot of black people. Now it's racist.
