He could have made a tremendous impact by ensuring all 3rd world countries have clean water and sanitation.
But there's no money or power in doing that. He can't profit and can't control other countries (vaccines) with it. So those poor people can continue to get sick by drinking sewer water. He doesn't care. /shrug/
How does Bill Gates personally profit since the vaccines are provided through the Gates Foundation for free, this should prove interesting.
The entire world is working on a vaccine. Twenty countries at least. Dozens and dozens of national labs, universities and private pharma companies. Trump is irrelevant.

I fear you do not understand the tax effects of charitable giving in the US. If you donate $1 you do not make any money. You may reduce the amount you send to the IRS by $0.25, but you still spent $1.
If you are susceptible to the virus, should you not still separate yourself from society? You could still get it and give it to someone else. Herd immunity will not be achieved instantaneously.

So having no counter argument relative to Gates tremendous work eliminating disease you're off to Visas and tax loopholes.

I am not in favor of replacing American workers with H1-Bs. Where is he currently making such hiring decisions? How does that negate his philanthropy? Are you aware that he makes donations here in the US, also?
