In terms of per capita the US death toll is lower than many nations, although it still represents an extremely sad loss of life.

Personally I don't think now is the time to be pointing fingers, and people should wait until this is over and the figures have been properly analysed and studued before jumping to conclusions.

The UK is increasing funds in relation to a vaccine and according to UK Heath Secreatary Matt Hancock is throwing everything at developing a vaccine.

I got a B- in Economics 101.
It is not an easy course for some of us.

We should be making all of the masks in the USA. For health and safety reasons. And add in national security.

Having traveled to China and all of Southeast Asia multiple times. It is clearly known that health standards are quite lacking in all of these countries. Most have no Board of Health. But if they do - a few Yuan, Baht, or Dong - goes a long way to "meet" all health and safety regulations.

Health and Safety are more then just economics.

I hope the Brits are not wasting a whole lot of money and creating false expectations there...

Ironic is one way to put it.

The Republican "fiscal responsibility" mantra is a con.

Republicans haven't been behind fiscal responsibility since Eisenhower, the last Republican POTUS to leave the nation in better economic shape than he found it.

Even before the pandemic, the annual deficit was doubling and on track for over $1trillion. Now it looks like $4 trillion might be closer to the mark.

Easy to see how that could be when a steakhouse chain can get $20 million by applying twice.

The greatest heist in history is convincing the poor, uneducated classes that the billionaires are on their side. The new coalition of the GOP is the billionaires and the uneducated, with the middle and creative classes solidly within the Democratic camp now.

I hope funds and energy all over the world are being directed to developing a vaccine.

Vaccines against polio, smallpox, pneumonia, ... Seems realistic to expect that someday there will be a Covid-19 vaccination as well.

But that's a long-term solution.

Because the truth matters.
But at least you did get the part right where he realized covid had gotten out of hand and reported that fact to the American people. That's what I would expect him to do.
I actually could not care less how many times he plays golf.
"He went to 14 rallies." The left screams about repubs NOT listening to their scientists about global warming/climate change. When Trump LISTENS to the TOP scientists in the U.S., maybe in the world, which told HIM, there was NO PROBLEM, he is accused of "He went to 14 rallies."

He DID STOP flights from China from entering our country 1 WEEK after China aired it FIRST case of Covid-19 to the world.

"Because the truth matters."

"And he on 14 golf trips."

Where did he go on these "golf trips"? How many holed did he play? How many hours were involved?

"Because the truth matters."

I Just played 18 holes and it took 3 hours. would have been faster but when we made the turn and a little backup. He OWNS the course and I'd bet the secret Service makes SURE he is NEVER held up. If he had someone with him, who was it? Business, even the countries business IS discussed on the golf course. He very well COULD have been "working" while playing golf but those with TDS would NEVER think of that.

"In 1964, President Johnson played with Senators in order to garner support for the Civil Rights Act." Not a PEEP of comlaint then but, NOW...! WHY?

Many former presidents an dem politicians were BIG TIME golf players., like clinton, johnson and obama and NEVER a peep of complaint.

"Mr. Obama played just once during his first 100 days, but went on to hit a total of 333 rounds during his two terms as president, Mr. Knoller’s data shows.
The White House says Mr. Trump uses his time on the green to foster relationships with world leaders and lawmakers. However, the White House does not generally reveal whom he plays with.

Just because Mr. Trump is at a golf course, it does not necessarily mean he’s playing golf, Sean Spicer, White House press secretary, said in March, citing a “mini Cabinet” meeting at Mr. Trump’s golf club in Virginia."

Top politicians who played a lot of golf.

"In 1964, President Johnson played with Senators in order to garner support for the Civil Rights Act."

"Because the truth matters."

I'd bet he went HOME for the weekend just like 98% of the DMS in Congress do every week-end.

Why don't we EVER get a count of how many time dems in Congress go to the CONGRESSIONAL Country club and play golf, or tennis or whatever, or how much golf do they play when HOME for the week-end?

"Because the truth matters."

"Because the truth matters." NOT with those with TDS

Post after post by those with TDS, which include most of the LSM, claiming "he went on vacation" when in FACT he only went home for the week-end.

"Because the truth matters.", NOT with those with TDS

It is easy to throw out things and and make big deal out of them and NOT supply the details.

This is what the LSM does on EVERY story they do on Trump, distort and omit IMPORTANT FACTS because WITH the FACTS they would NOT have the "story" they want!

Sure, but I was referring to them already producing the vaccine before they successfully finished the trials.
