All of this shows the challenge of computer modeling-the results are only as good as the assumptions put into the mathematical calculations. And often a small change in assumptions can drive a huge change in results, especially as you get further from the present time.
Yes Sir, GIGO Forever!
Funny that this mirrors the climate change hobgoblin scare also based on models.
Show me a financial model that will make everyone rich.

No such thing because no such thing as everyone being rich. however, models are used for everything ranging from advertisement strategies, to your mutual fund investments.
Deaths for the US are now predicted to be 81,766 down from 93,531 and much lower than their initial prediction of between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths.
FYI: You will not read about this on any mainstream media source as it will not fulfill their desire of 'as many deaths as it takes to get the orange baboon out of office'.
OP: I think on the contrary, nearly all members of the press would welcome a lower mortality rate. That would indicate that the measures we are applying are having a beneficial effect. But remember that this computer model is just a statistical projection based on some assumptions. There are a lot of variables at play, and the situation can change.
The value you are listing there is the mean estimate. The projected data range is 50K-135K, with a 95% certainty, which overlaps the initial projection. I'm pretty skeptical of any values beyond about 4-6 weeks.
Gee, I dunno! IF the death rate is actually dropping, that's actually GREAT news to me! Some of us liberals (who are financially prudent and don't live paycheck to paycheck) have stuff to do: going on vacations to Europe and tropical/beachy locales, resuming fine dining at Michelin starred restaurants , getting back to volunteering/community service in person, attending political fundraisers to get rid of Trump, driving around in our liberal limousines to admire beautiful scenery, wine tasting, the theater, art galleries, live concerts, etc.
Sucks that all these bootstrappers just have WORK to look forward to. Good thing complaining on the internet is free, huh.

Appears that USA is being forced into Federalism/StatesAction/Distributed power rather than centralized Presidential and Congressional Unitarism. Won't be efficient. Won't be what DJT and children want, but it is what it turns out to be.

Problem is DJT just doesn't have what it takes for a Unitary Presidency. He tries but he just mucks it up.
And I'm rooting for Federalism.
signed, a sad RINO.

Ironic that 'irony' isn't the right word to describe what you're describing
