Meh. There's plenty can be said about anyone's value to society, it all depends on your POV. People can like Kardashian for whatever reason and it's not my place to judge her, them, or anyone else. That said, her sister sells an excellent lipstick.

It’s the market at work! People who aren’t making enough money in nursing should just go get a job as a reality star.

Actually you're statement is quite insightful. The fact is that far more people can do a reasonable job of being a nurse vs those that can generate hundreds of millions in annual revenue (regardless of what 'attributes' allow them to do it), that's the bottom line.

Nurses, in my opinion, are one of the most underpaid professionals.

I bust my butt when at work, but I think the nurses have a harder job.

In the end, the nurses (unlike a Kardashian) can look back and know that they helped people. Unfortunately, this is not how society has things valued.

My wife is a former nurse (she became a stay at home mom when I finished fellowship) and I know she worked harder than I do.

And there it is. The truth. Except for the lipstick. I know nothing about that.

And what a good husband and a good doctor you are to honor her! Thank you.

Healthcare workers work extremely hard, then there are shifts and holidays and you may have 1 day off, 3 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on etc, the night shift was just as nuts, never able to fully rest. Burn out rate is very high. I know I was exhausted at the end of shift. I'll never forget walking down the hall for the 50th time at 3 AM thinking can I do this until I'm 62, oh hell no! I was fortunate to be able to retire from healthcare young (and burned out).

Nurses, healthcare workers, EMT's should all be paid better but gov't wants to give our services away while you earn more because you have a big butt lol.
