The bottom line is there are many posts against the Obama stimulus.

Yet here we are with a stimulus. And those same folks who were against the Obama stimulus are all for this current stimulus.

Hmmm. . . . .

The goose is in bed with the gander.

It was in your paycheck as a tax reduction.

By summer the virus will be forgotten. It will be the economic ruin everyone is worried about. It will be the violence and and breakdown of law and order that will be front and center. Some US cities will be under martial law. Food riots, masses of violent unemployed workers demanding relief will be a huge threat to the nation. Radicals will have millions listening to their proposed solutions. A dangerous 2020 election will be months away. We will have half the country demanding socialism and a planned economy, the other half vowing defiance. Secessionist sentiment will spread like wildfire in the half of the nation that loses the election.

We were already dangerously divided before the coronavirus panic. However the panic has brought our problems to a head. I hope those who incited this panic in the media enjoy the new nightmare future we now look forward too.

Putin in Russia just forbid the shutdown of transport and passenger services of vital personnel between regions. Some loons were actually recommending it be done.

WTF???

Farmers need fertilizer and seeds for crops. If farmers can't grow stuff the people go hungry. When people go hungry their immune systems weaken and they die of disease.

We need to listen to our scientists. The batchit crazy ones need to be thrown out of the room though.

It's become obvious that many people are going to die of this virus, but the real cause of death will be their own ignorance. If you ever wondered about the operative mentality of those living in dirty homes with the bad looking curtains, the cars piled all over the lawn, and the huge sports banners flying from the chicken coop roof, you can come here and read the idiocy that reflects that kind of lifestyle. Thinking that our freedoms include the "right" to do as one pleases is a common notion among the stupid and uneducated, just ask Ammon Bundy, he's the aspiring ringleader of these extremists with nothing between their ears.

Yes indeed! So many people are deciding to stick their heads in the sand and repeat to themselves that everything is fine, will be back to normal very soon! lol

Part of the problem is many people do not recognize when the govt is trying to maintain order and control. Much of what is being said right now, is just their attempt to avoid mass panic, runs on the banks, anarchy in the streets, etc.

Ive been watching our KY governor make his daily video messages to residents, 3 days ago, they were saying "These next 2 weeks are crucial at stopping the spread of the virus, (2 weeks is the time when our 30 day time period expires)...NOW, they are saying, "these next 3-4 weeks are the most critical in stopping the spread"...that is basic psychology at work, they are getting people primed to accept another time frame of restrictions.

Yeah, that was a criticism of it. Many people would rather have $1200 now than $2000 spread out over a year.

Whatever "panic" you are theorizing about in the summer, it will pale compared to the (not theory at all) panic that would have resulted from 3 million dead Americans in the next 30 days.

Your "theory" will be proven or disproven this summer.

The CDC (not) theory will never be proven, by you or anyone. Ever. It will remain a great "what if."

But if I have to choose between their theory or yours - - it's an easy choice.

What do you think?
I think it shows how ignorant and ill-informed people are.

They've been working on a corona virus for 55 years and they're no closer now than they were in 1965.

In the last 20 years, there have been five corona virus mutations leading to epidemics or pandemics, including COVID-2, NL and NL63, HCOV-NH (from the good ol' USA) and HKU1.

Where are the vaccines?

You ain't got none.

MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) is another corona virus pre-2000 that you don't have a vaccine.

And, you still don't have vaccines for B814, OC43, 229E, which are all corona virus that caused epidemics and the other half-dozen corona virus epidemics.

Yeah, Johnson & Johnson made an announcement, but they also made an announcement along with a half-dozen other companies when COVID-2 was around.

They did come up with a vaccine: The Nothing Burger.

While they didn't come up with a vaccine, it sure pumped up their stock prices.

Wonder how many suckers bought their stocks.
