Again if city ordinances or laws prohibiting facial masks or filming parties were applicable here, all this officer would not even need to them to leave the store before detaining and arresting them. This was harassment plain and simple. But birds of a feather defend each other.

Nope, a person doesn't have to show id.

There is no city ordinance to prevent people from wearing masks and no store policy ACCORDING TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. The officer was wrong period
Already stated .. no it's not a city ordinance and the cop was wrong when citing that. BUT, it is illegal under state law. Has Walmart made a statement whether they allow customers to wear a mask while in their stores, and why would Walmart have a policy about someone wearing a mask in their store?

and the fact he was walking with his hand on his gun when these men had their backs to him leaving is FRIGHTENING TO SAY THE LEAST.
Do you not know the difference between a gun and a gun belt? his hand was on his gun belt, not on his gun. Maybe he just ate and his belt was pinching his belly.

The only reason a camera was even pulled was because THE OFFICER CLAIMED THEY WERE BREAKING A NON EXISTENT ORDINANCE/POLICY.
Proof?

Smart of him to turn to the white lady wearing the mask even though she made no move to remove it or leave as he was zoned into his targets.
Maybe he's not only racist, but ageist and sexist as well.
Or, maybe he was telling her to remove the mask ... i dunno, the guy taking the video never showed the rest of the cops encounter with that woman.

AGAIN WHAT ARE YOU DEFENDING MISCONDUCT WAS ALREADY ADMITTED ON THE PART OF THE DEPARTMENT? If they broke any laws by incidentally filming someone they'd be in custody. Again you people are so predictable.
Stop backtracking because you clearly didn't read the article.
It is true that racism does happen and it seriously sucks, but, to take an incident that probably isn't a racist encounter and make it one only cheapens the cry of racism when it truly does happen.
Again, good thing I just rewatched the video. The white woman wearing the mask who came into contact with him actually flagged HIM down. You can see clearly at :55. He was about walk RIGHT past her. Were they the only masked people in that store? Doubtful.

Cops don't always arrest, or write tickets, for minor infractions.
WHY ARE YOU ASKING IF WALMART HAS A STORE POLICY OF CUSTOMERS NOT WEARING MASKS WHEN THE SHERIFF ALREADY SAID THE OFFICER WAS WRONG AND THAT POLICY IS NON EXISTENT? That class C misdemeanor is for masks that are intended to conceal one's identity from an officer. IF THE OFFICER FELT THAT LAW WAS BEING BROKEN (or any other law for that matter) HE WAS DUTY BOUND TO DETAIN AND TAKE THEM INTO CUSTODY RIGHT THERE.
Not me but then I’m a woman. I’ve been wearing my mask everywhere.
Perhaps it’s different for men, specifically black men.
