sorry, the recession of 2008 was well on it's way to recovering by the time Obama took office. It ended 5 months after he took office, not because of what he did, but because of what Bush did. Obama left TARP and the auto bailout in place and even extended the Bush tax cuts. Cash for Clunkers and shovel ready jobs were Obama's contribution...

and thank God for our sake the governor's stepped up and actually took action while the president chose to ignore it, dismiss it, and act like it would all just go away as long as you pretended it didn't exist.

As of this day there are insufficient amount of supplies for the health care workers that is who we should be thinking of at this point. all he can go on and on about is how he closed the border to China early on and thank God he did that yet in actuality 40,000 additional people actually came into this country after that.

there was a memo back in January for which he knows nothing about and chose to look the other way as if he didn't have any responsibility.

he wants to have it both ways. On one hand he wants to say that he inherited a poor testing system yet he had three and a half almost four years to take care of it and chose to be playing golf for the majority of that time instead. likewise he blames the governors for not ordering more ventilators three and a half years ago for a crisis that was unforeseeable at the time.

when push came to shove and this country had a pandemic on its hands due to a lack of a federal pandemic office and any leadership even as of today again thank God for the governors for stepping up otherwise who knows where we would be at this point.

598,000 job losses in January 2009 was "well on its way to recovering"?

Nope nobody said the virus was Trump's fault. You made that up in your head.

And nobody blamed Trump.

All they said is under Trump's Presidency.

Not his fault at all.

But he is President.

If things do turn around it is because people have some cash in their pocket after all of this.......

Guess the Federal Government could not have issued the Social Distancing/ Gathering Guidelines which was the precursor to most states issuing Shelter in Place orders.

Those pesky Worst Case models projected 2 million + incremental deaths in absence of government controls and changes to individual behaviors.

It would have also blown up the hospital and healthcare systems.

People would of lost their jobs no matter who was in office when the virus hit our shores can’t blame Trump for this, only how he mishandled it.

Yes I agree and I think you pretty much said it all he is who he is. However in this situation he chose to do nothing and it's very unfortunate. People's lives have been impacted forever as well as the number of deaths are near 15,000 as of today and counting.

People will remember when they go in November to cast their vote do they want a president for change or do they want a president in time of crisis who will once again look the other way and act as if it wasn't his fault and he had no involvement and expecting someone else to step in and solve the problem for him.

Granted no president in history is perfect nor will Biden be however at least he is an individual to understand the importance of ownership and looking out for what's best for the people even when that means at times you have to admit your faults.

The current president did not create the current situation however he is responsible for how he chose to handle it and the current outcome we are now in. NEVER FORGET

I don't think this is hurting him in November. The whole world did the same thing, and he was expected to follow suit, which he did.

Trump is Trump. He can't help it. He will fire Fauci and blame him and the media for the economic disaster, and then start taking credit for recovery.

The Tea Party left the building with Obama.

This was true before pandemic and of course remains true, today.

Premature/ abrupt elimination of the Federal Social Distancing/ Gathering guidelines and thus state Shelter in Place May be counter- productive and will likely cause infection and hospitalization rates to increase. Here we go again.
sooner than you think....like the impeachment, this will be forgotten a few months after it ends

he is only at fault for how he chose to handle the situation and had he acted earlier, we would definitely be in a different state than we are today.

He hasn't even been concerned with getting full testing done at this point or making sure that health care front end workers have the necessary items they need for their own safety. His sole focus has been to reopen the economy so things come around by election time.

His actions that he took or lacked thereof starting back in January of this year has made the unemployment situation worse.
