One bad word choice in a single presser is not the same as the regular word salad tossed out dozens or hundreds of times in the past 3 years. And at least Trudeau admitting it was a bad choice as opposed to our big brained leader.
To be fair, racist 'blackface Justin" seems to have done a good job in combating the coronavirus in Oh Canada. Their economy may have been sucking since he took office but their covid-19 infections have been on the low side.

Lighten up- It wasn't so bad. Would people rather that he used the term "spit" or slobber"?

While I find the whole thread to be the usual silly garbage that is politics,
I'd hold off on that medal for fighting off Covid.
They're a week or so behind us on the curve and after mulitplying their numbers by 9x for population, they look like they could end up around where we do....but I truly hope not.

This isn't a contest, and I'm no doctor or a statistician, but Canada reported it's first case of Covid-19 on January 15th. Five days later the US reported it's first case. Canada started testing weeks before the US. We are still testing more than the US per capita.
So I'm not sure what makes you think we are a week behind the curve , especially if you look at the numbers and the rise in cases in the US compared to Canada.
I also don't think just multiplying population vs cases is very scientific, maybe someone can comment on that, but since you brought it iup,
As of today Canada has 20,696 cases the US has 458,455. 9 times the Canadian number means you should be at 186,264.
The death numbers much the same. Canada at 503, the US at 16,312. 9 time the Canadian number means you would be at 4,527.
I've been watching these numbers grow, and it seems to be following the same trajectory.
No one can predict the future, but I seriously doubt Canada will get the the percentages per population that the US seems to be getting. Our biggest concerns right now are Quebec and Ontario.
The other number that I find odd, and don't understand, is why the deaths per million is much higher in the US. As it grows in Canada, the US number has been a steady 4 times bigger.
On March 16 Trudeau announced that Canada was closing its borders to most non citizens worldwide, except for a special arrangement he made two days later with Trump to allow essential traffic between our two countries.
