Umm no.

A few casinos are paying employee salaries until mid May, but to call for all casinos to pay salaries throughout the entire shutdown (who knows how long this is going to be)? Hell no, why should they?

Casino workers across the country are calling on the gambling industry to pay its laid-off workers their full salary and benefits for the duration of coronavirus shutdowns.

In an online conference Thursday, casino workers and their union leaders from Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New Orleans and Mississippi called on the industry to “step up and do the right thing.”

It’s none of our business either way if we don’t work in the gaming industry. Who are we to say that they shouldn’t get paid?

This is between them and their employers. If they can shake down their employers for paychecks during the shutdown, then Godspeed. It’s nothing to me regardless. It ain’t coming outta my kittie.

One thing for sure, if they don’t demand anything, they won’t get anything. They have nothing to lose by asking or demanding their wages.
