Fed should pay every American more, let hedge funds and billionaires ‘get wiped out,’ says Social Capital CEO

Quote:
“It would be better for the Fed to have given half a million to every man, woman and child in the United States,” he said.
I hear $500K. Do I hear $1MM? Going once, going twice...

I agree that's a bit extreme LOL. But in a perfect world, I would MUCH rather see people worth billions lose a few hundred million dollars than working class, service industry, blue-collar folks lose what little they have.

Taking the politics and economics out of it and just looking at the human aspect of the above statement, how could anyone not agree?

Would people rather see the top 1% lose a few hundred million, which is only a small portion of their net worth, or would you like to see hundreds of thousands of working class Americans have their cars repo'd, electricity turned off, etc?

Everyone should get a bailout and $10 million per day indefinitely. This is how we Keep America Great Again!

The Fed's plan is to ultimately solve the toiler paper crisis by having the dollar as a viable substitute in performance and worth.

Sure, but I think the disagreement comes in how that's accomplished, as well as potential side effects. Government distribution of wealth + higher taxes? Collective bargaining? Minimum wage? Other?

Why? The few millions a billionaire loses would inevitably result in multiple job loses.
