Both of you are using those terms very wrong.
There is no such thing as fast and deadly in this context. If we had allowed COVID-19 to spread back in march, there would be people dying in Hospitals for months to come.
and flattening the curve does not make it stick around longer. If anything it isolates the virus and it goes away faster.

if the death rate and transmission rate stay where they are and we only treated this like the flu. You are talking about 1.4 million dead.
I remember just a month ago people were saying this is "just like the flu". now the death toll is 20,000 in one months time. The Flu only killed 34,200 and that was with free reign.

I must be looking at the wrong charts. Everyone i have seen shows the flattened curve , flatter and more longer lasting.
My post is about in the US, not world wide. reading comprehension is key. Sadly, you still failed to even grasp the isolation/social distancing concept of what is wrong with your post.
people with the flue walk around and sneeze and cough on everyone, Covid -19 people are quarantined and dont have the chance to spread it and the infection rate is still worse. We have artificially lowered the transmission rate of this virus and its still higher than the flu.
