If we and many other nations that have the resources to help less affluent ones do not act globally, our economies could be damaged far more. It's all in our self-interest, even though it's the humanitarian thing to do, first and foremost.

But we offered them supplies, and the Iranian regime proudly rejected them - saying they don’t need America’s help. Now you think we should fork over big bucks, knowing that they will use at least some of that money to fund terrorism?

Here’s the analogy: your heroin-addicted son is going hungry, which you see. You offer to bring him over a cartful of groceries, which he REFUSES - saying he doesn’t need your help. Now your neighbor says that you should give cash to the heroin addict, and liberals jump on the bandwagon to say it’s the humanitarian thing to do to give money to a drug addict who is going hungry. BUT.....he already turned down your offer of food.

No we don't need to help them. We can't afford it.

I'll compromise. Lets pass the collection plate around America. People donate what they feel is right.

We offered them medical supplies. They said they didn’t need our help, and turned us down. You just want to fork over $1 billion to a state sponsor of terror that refused help for its own people??

For goodness sake. Look up the story on that money. It was THEIRS. The world Court was going to make the countries holding it give it to them, with interest. No country had a banking relationship with Iran due to all the sanctions.

Can't say I'm surprised to see Democrats make such a demand, though.

They did it with the Money that Obama freed up for them, they would do the same again. What is it with Obama Democrats giving money to those who are our enemies

Of course money is another artificial concept that exists only in our minds.

But no one has come up with a better way to organize an economy so...
