You try to give people the benefit of the doubt that they won't be stupid enough to try and blame the president for a natural disaster such as a virus from China....and then, well, here we are.

Who controlled it during the last 2 years? Who controls it now! I'm pretty certain you know who actually controls spending!

In general, Presidents tend to get to much credit when the economy goes well, and too much blame when it goes wrong. But at least it keeps them focused on not driving the economy off the rails. Usually.

Nah, not really. We'll never know for sure, but my guess is that Hillary Clinton would have been among the politicians telling people to visit Chinatown in late February, fears about the coronavirus be damned. And as someone else has pointed out, here is what the presumptive Democrat nominee has to say about dealing with the pandemic:

Very helpful stuff. The Democrats have their obsessions, which override everything else. Race is one of those obsessions. Fighting viruses is not.

Every major country on the planet struggling with COVID but if we'd elected Hillary Clinton it magically would have spared us while still causing economic chaos to the rest of the planet....which would also not have effected the economy due to...um, magic.

That's a seriously hillarious thesis from the OP.

It's not planned. It's incompetence.
Stop electing Republicans.
Bush 1 and 2 gave us the highest oil prices and 3 failed wars. Not Trumps fault we got CV19.

That's a tough sell for Biden imo, he is facing some potential lack of enthusiasm from black voters but can he point to past US policies and how they were racist and at the same time separate his own decades long track record? Especially interesting how he was attacked in the primaries as racist and sexist but now shares the stage with his accusers all cheering on how he will be some sort of solution to racism.

Now he'll still get 90% of the black vote, I just find all the political theater entertaining and of course Trump will say just about anything without regard for accuracy so it's one big clown car driving down the road for 2 elections in a row now.

If you think the Democrats are the answer to all your problems or that either one of them actually has control over the economy then I suppose you really do live out in space.
