I am considering opening a "social friendly" semi-take out restaurant. The cook area will be visible behind glass so customers are assured of cleanliness and can verify themselves. The cooks will wear hair covers, masks, gloves and replaceable smocks. The cashier, order area will have glass and of course all employees would wear masks, and gloves as appropriate (new set per customer, etc.) And as rapid tests become available employees would be tested daily, and posted for customer assurance.
We'd have an outdoor area where we will put a shade awning and spaced tables with fire heaters in winter and swamp coolers in summer. Everything will be continuiously sanitized. I think people will come and could eat in safety. Heck I doubt you'd even catch a common cold.
You all have said it: governors and local officials calling the plays.
The ones that don't fall in line are insulted with withering, relentless catcalls, harangued, pestered.
Don't pretend that Democratic mayors and governors haven't been leading that charge. Your whole reading audience knows otherwise.
Ohio, with GOP governor Mike DeWine, was consistently the earliest and firmest in instituting bans/alterations during this pandemic.
