Most likely wrong. People need to get back to work soon or else it will make this pandemic look minuscule.
See this is what I think. I think America goes back to normal life in terms of restaurants open, retail stores, parks & beaches.
But what we won't do is have places that have hundreds or thousands of people in relatively closed spaces. Movies, concert venues, & sport events will still be off limits.
While that's not great it's still better than where we currently are.
Imagine if they had never stopped March Madness, big music concerts, MLB opening day, NBA & NHL. how many more cases & deaths we would have right now?
We can go back to normal life in many ways & avoid over bearing our hospitals but I think we would be in big trouble if sports resumed.
There will not be a 2020 Baseball season at all, no way in hell they are going to risk that many people crammed into spaces that close together. The Mayor of Cincinnati sort of hinted this when someone asked him about the local opening day parade (that was cancelled of course), Mayor said its highly unlikely Great American Ballpark sees a 2020 season.
Just the revenue from the Cincinnati Reds playing baseball, that will be lost this year, is enough to collapse the local economy on its own! (not even factoring in any of the places that are closed down!)
I believe we will see a 'domino effect', things being closed/cancelled...will impact many other things, directly and indirectly, I do not see ANY possible way the US economy survives this.
Imo they can and should play Golf Tournaments without fans. Sure it would detract a good deal from the drama. It is not like Basketball where you have to be 3" from your opponent. But I bet ratings would be huge. They should at least try it for one Tournament.

Last I heard MLB is working out the details on a plan to play the season, all games in Arizona at a variety of fields, with no fans.
