I’m not sure if this is sarcasm, but I’m going to give the benefit of doubt and assume not. I work for a state hospital. While the doctors, nurses, and support staff are on the frontlines, there are teams of admin support staff working tirelessly to make sure their pay, benefits, and general operation remain uninterrupted. It’s a job we take seriously, even when the private sector is booming and we’re chronically understaffed and get what crumbs are tossed to us.

I am federal LEO with 10 years of service. My base pay is nowhere near 125k and this is with California COLA

Federal LEO is some of the highest paying federal workers in federal government.
People, especially the Trump faithful, like to make whipping posts of people who frankly made better educational choices and career choices than they did. Because they are suffering, all should suffer.

The epitome of snowflakes.

You'll have a tough time convincing my mail lady of that! She, not the drones, showed up on my front porch with those Amazon packages yesterday.

Yes, I most certainly want to help the "little people" (your words), although I dont see them as little people because they are fellow Americans who have the same number of votes that I have...ONE! That makes us all equal...rich, poor, Black, White, Yellow, & Blue. Gay, straight, other, I stand for us all. We are all American's first, and united we stand. I reject anyone who tries to divide us. I am for the 99%.

Here's how I roll:
Dont walk in front of me, for I may not follow.
Dont walk behind me, for I may not lead.
Walk beside me, and be my friend.

No, I'm NOT a socialist (although I think Bernie Sanders was 1/2 right) I'm a Nationalist and a Populist mixed into one unafraid proud patriot. I'm the Tea Party dude you thought went away. Tread on me at your own risk...I have many friends.

Only some GS-15’s make that. Mostly Directors or high skilled IT etc.

It's not just the base pay though.

I don't know what kind of federal LEO you are, but my ex neighbor was a state trooper and he worked details a lot. He was not long in the job and easily made 100k. In fact, the median income (not base salary) of state police in Massachusetts is 145k.

I know a guy who is high skilled in communication- but to really he is the cable guy. I help do his taxes - and yes gets a lot of OT. But brings in -$ 100+ to 115k a year. That’s in FL. So only service jobs get much less.

Well I made 200K not including 401K and stock options in private finance. The SBA folks are GS12's and work in similar fields. They don't get options or bonuses.

Not sure why people are complaining. They make less than their private sector counter parts.

Exactly.

Federal governments do have doctors, engineers, nurses, lawyers, IT, judges, cops, etc.
None of them make more than $170k a year even if they have 20 years in, work a bazillion OT hours, and with Ivy League degrees.

The max pay cap for federal worker is $170k fiscal year 2020
