And isn't it strange that for a certain chunk of the population, the idea that there could be hypocrisy or bias involved would never even enter their minds, if it weren't specifically pointed out to them, e.g. by this thread's existence? And even when it's laid out for them, in all its obviousness, they still reject that it's real. There is no bias at CNN. Trump's just that bad.
Politics has replaced religion in the minds of many. Our brain is wired for religion, and when people consciously reject the very idea of of religion, the brain is going to fill in that blank somehow. It goes a long way in explaining what we're seeing these days.
Remember when they used to do on the ground reporting? I remember the days when if there was something important happening in the world, CNN was there, on the ground, covering it.
Now it's just panel after panel of talking heads who all just sit there and yell over each other, or softball semi-scripted interviews with like-minded contributors masquerading as invited guests.
"Tabloid" is probably the best description I can think of to describe the kind of "journalism" they do now. I don't think it's strong enough of a term, but it works.

That pretty much sums up CNN these days. It's been called the Clinton News Network of course, many times.
It could also be called the Constant Negative Network. It's all doom and gloom. It appears they don't want their viewers to see any positive developments about the coronavirus situation. Whether it's regarding potential treatments or reduced new cases in some areas. They bury it all with their pessimistic talking heads every day.
The coverage of the Biden accusation vs the Kavanaugh accusation is just one more glaring example of their biased reporting.
Cnn isn’t a news network. It’s a propaganda periodical for the DNC. Pure trash. What the media in general did to Kavanaugh was the worst thing in American politics since Burr shot Hamilton. It was never about getting justice for a woman and you can bet the Biden accusations never get anywhere near the amount of coverage or investigation.
As long as they give equal time to all of the sexual misconduct claims against Trump, sure thing.
Those didn't get aired significantly in the last campaign, just the general stuff like the access hollywood tape.
Also, the number of sexual misconduct claims against Trump from women has of course risen since the last campaign.
I agree that Kavanaugh was an unfair situation to have dealing only with an allegation from high school. I hope that is not repeated.
If they carried the weight that you suggest, why did the only thing the entire media and Democrats get behind was Trump saying Pzzy and a willing stripper that he had an affair with
