Ah yes, that evil free market, if only we had a dictator simply seize those resources. Crisis certainly does bring out the Nazi in people apparently.
I have no problem with the free market when to comes to cars, bread and most other things. I do have a problem when the free market is used to rip off taxpayers.
When a product is needed for the health and/or life or death of American citizens, having multiple middle men making a ton of money at a cost to taxpayers and rate payers is criminal.
But it is becoming more clear with each day, some value money above all else. And they vote Republican.
In my perfect world, things that are necessary for life in these united states would be not for profit. Water, electricity and basic healthcare.
Liberate yourselves from home...but possibly to the hospital in the fastest way! Stop social distancing. An, all expense unpaid trip to the ER, floor or ICU. Lots of action, but bad food. And, to top it off you'll have to pay the whole&*^% thing when you get home, if you get home.
Amen to that!
As Governor Whitmer says: "Better to be six feet apart, right now, than six feet under".
Puuhhhleeze - he never STOPPED campaigning. And why hasn't the all-powerful Trump already liberated the entire country...wasn't he making and keeping AGA?
Stupid lying liar. His ploy will be to ensure voting is as skewed as possible - the only way he has a chance of winning.
The three states where Trump is encouraging citizens to break the law and defy social distancing orders, inciting them to rally against the states’ safety measures ---which are intended to stop the coronavirus spread--- are Minnesota, Michigan and Virginia. These are considered battlegrounds in the presidential campaign.
Every one of us knows the answers to these questions: "Why does Trump encourage illegal and dangerous acts? Why is Trump putting millions of people in danger of COVID19? Why is Trump fomenting violence AGAIN? Why is Trump driving a wedge between governors and the federal government? Why is Trump tweeting protests of 'stay at home orders'?
For Votes.
...
This is exactly correct.
These disgraceful engineered displays are not random, they are orchestrated.
If anyone knows about Chinese history, that is what Mao did when he unleashed the Red Guards (a very malleable group of people who worshiped Mao like a cult leader). He was attacking rivals within the government. The resulting chaos was not directed toward helping the people at all, it was about suppressing rivals, and many died.

The mayor of New Orleans to her shame refused to cancel Mardi Gras, and that's why Louisiana has been so hard hit. When you do the right thing and leave the response up to local leadership, you will get differing results based on how good local leadership is.
Sure you want to whine about the orange man, upset that he didn't go the dictator route, but you'd whine about the orange man no matter what, so I'm happy that he did the right thing instead of going the dictator route.
You say Cuomo has "taken ownership" and yet here you are deflecting blame at the same time.....has he really "taken ownership" of his failure? You can't have it both ways kiddo. Cuomo is to blame for NY being the laughing stock of the world, I'm not sure how that makes you respect him, but it's whatever.
Deflecting blame no just outlying how things have progressed. Saying "everyone was downplaying" is BS, the Federal Government should have set the standard for the response to this illness, they didn't. Cuomo like every other Governor has had to address the problem with what they had but continue to believe how you like and don't forget to vote in November for what you think is a proper leader....

It's literally true, everyone was downplaying it at first. Hell you had Pelosi telling people to head down to Chinatown during the middle of the spread! Not everyone was going that far, but everyone downplayed it at first in an effort to avoid a panic.
The Federal Government set recommendations and then deferred to local leadership which is exactly what they should have done. Again, I know you wanted Trump to go the dictator route, but it's a good thing he didn't. Sure, that means that states with incompetent leadership like NY struggled, but just about every other state handled the situation well for their people. Individual states will ALWAYS have a better idea of the needs of their state than the federal government....it's literally the reason why we have the system of government we do.
Despite the fact that Cuomo did by far the worst job of any leader in the country, you continue to go to bat for him because you like his authoritarian strong man shtick....I mean, it really does say a lot about what you are looking for, and it's not a good thing.
Trump is an absolutely despicable POS. Sowing division and civil disobedience during a deadly national crisis. How much lower and UnAmerican can he go?
Could always be worse, like stealing money earned by american citizens and redistributing it to illegal aliens....
Whadya mean "Starts his campaigning" ? That's all he's done for the last 3 1/2 years!
