Or a depression like the world has never seen before. Homelessness, malnutrition, lack of food, complete and utter chaos .. People will be dying from everything ... not COVID-19. That seems to be what some people want.

Yup --- that's why I have cut the grocery store shopping as much as possible -- less likely to catch something if I use precaution -AND i don't hang out at the grocery store.

Parts per million is always going to be much higher indoors than outdoors, with the exception of something like pollen for instance.
To be fair, the sunshine (UV), wind and seawater is probably helping disinfect the environment. Better to spend time there than in a crowded movie theater, anyway. As long as they at least try to observe social distancing...

A little harsh -- not everyone who lives in Florida is a moron, of course -- but the state and local government's decision to reopen the beaches during a pandemic is moronic.
A crowded beach and people aren't wearing masks. Think you can't get COVID-19 at the beach? "Spring breakers in Florida were criticized for ignoring coronavirus social distancing guidelines. Five students have now tested positive for COVID-19" How stupid can you get? With Governor DeSantis in charge, apparently stupidity knows no bounds.

Deaths in FL? about 740. THAT's IT.
FL has not seen all the cases or deaths that they are going to get. 740 may be it for today. Who knows what it will be tomorrow? Or two weeks from now? We are not at the end, but just the beginning of this virus. People need to practice social distancing and wearing a mask whenever they are in public.

IT's low today. REmember when the mortality rate was low for all of the USA....remember that. If we had based decisions at that time on those absolute numbers where would we be.
You and Florida don't know if Florida is at the top of their curve or just getting started.
So today with social distancing the mortality rate is low -- but folks going on outtings, finding places to hang out, etc... increase the risk of spread....and perhaps the rate of deaths.
You don't know, the Governor doesn't know...health officials don't know.
It's a risk.
A big one for a walk on the beach.
And because some of you can't think beyond the simple walk on the beach.
Because some of the beaches in Florida are opening, there already is buzz about folks wanting to travel to Florida.......bringing what with them.
Why are people so intent on continually sh-tting on Florida?

Maybe focus on the tri-state pandemic that is the NE. Put your energy toward insulting and making fun of the botched containment there.
