Good god, this crap is getting out of hand. Local governments are treating their citizens like children.

So are state governments as well as the federal government.

And it "got out of hand" the second government existed. By its very nature it is your parent and you are the helpless child.

They are being treated like children because that is exactly how many of them are acting like.

Kids do dumb things. This has been true since the dawn of history. The sand can be removed later when it is safe.

I'm not a big fan of government regulation, but when people repeatedly ignore common sense behavior I have no problem with the government stepping in, especially when the lives of others are at risk. Too stupid/lazy/entitled to put down your cell phone down while driving? YOU pretty much forced the government's hand. Same with drinking and driving. Same with driving an unsafe POS with 4 bald tires and no brakes. Same with the coronavirus. Act like an adult, get treated like an adult. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Why do people preface their argument on the notion that their opinion is "common sense", even when it's under strong debate?
