BS. For example, willow bark was used for thousands of years before aspirin was created. The bark contains salicin. Salicin is metabolized in the body to create salicylic acid, the same as aspirin.

Perhaps reading comprehension not quite up to par today?
BTW, willow bark killed Beethoven. He took too much. There is no control of dosage when you rely on "natural sources".
Exactly. The amount of excuse-making that is going on for the deliberate lack of use of freely available contraceptives when the KNOWN consequence is very possibly an unplanned pregnancy is absurd. What a bunch of enablers. /smh

Yes. And my grandparents and their siblings (so my great-uncles and great-aunts) ALL had just two kids each, and this was in the 1930s. (They limited themselves to two because it was the Depression and it's all they could afford.) Not sure what method of BC they used, but it worked.
No one is denying evidence of early use of crude condoms.
Were they effective, were they common? According to all records and studies, NO. You can read up on the topic. Remember the OP said 1850 BC.
Were condoms affordable, easily accessed for the US population in 1900, 1920?
They weren't even legal in 1873 via the Comstock Act which prohibited advertisement, information, and distribution of birth control and allowing the postal service to confiscate birth control sold through the mail. This didnt change until the mid 1930's with some state modifications and the act referring to contraceptives wasn't repealed until 1971.

Again, your statement was regarding the use of condoms in the early part of the 20th century citing there were condoms in 1850 BC as an argument against the reason many poor people had larger families during that era was lack of contraception.
That has nothing to do with the availability of condoms and contraception today. So no one is enabling or making excuses. We are talking about pre 1960's before contraceptives became, you know, legal and available to everyone.

That's not the only statement of facts I've made in this thread. You just keep making excuses for the deliberate lack of contraceptives use (when they're freely available, see the HHS link I posted) by those who end up aborting their unplanned pregnancies anyway. You're an enabler. That's egregiously bad because enabling others' behavior that makes their lives more difficult or risks their health to a greater degree is immoral and unconscionable. Some would even call it deliberately cruel.
