Unfortunately, my fellow countrymen are a gaggle of clowns that have a striking inability to look in the mirror at their own nation’s COMPLETE FAILURE on the topic of gun crime and mass shootings. So in typical American fashion, they’d rather redirect the conversation towards lesser failures on the issue in other countries. It’s what we as Americans are good at when we can’t defend our own deficiencies...and we have no shortage of those.
Don’t waste your time arguing with the booboisie hayseeds south of your border. You’ll get nowhere.
Did you miss the Gun Sales stats last month? Hint: 2 million...........That's a bunch of hayseeds!
Your Prime minister is using it for a personal agenda, more gun control.
It's not a "personal agenda".
It's called "doing the responsible thing as the person in charge of government, in response to a problem".
I am not a cheerleader for Justin Trudeau BTW. And will be critical when I think it's deserved. (As I did earlier today on another topic in another forum.)
I'll answer much as I did when someone claimed that the rapist/murderer and his wife would not have been successful if Canadians were allowed to carry handguns. A gun is only useful if you realize you are in danger. Since the *****'s younger sister was their first victim, it's doubtful she realized that she couldn't trust them. Having a gun would have done her no good.
I am doubtful that no one had a gun. The metods the murdering gunman
If we don't know the background behind the weapons used and their legality, how can you claim that it's a 'responsible' action?
The legislation was planned BEFORE the weekend shootings.
Trudeau:
Quote:
“I can say that we were on the verge of introducing legislation to ban assault-style weapons across this country,” Trudeau told reporters during his daily coronavirus briefing on Monday — a briefing that instead largely focused on the weekend shooting. “It was interrupted when the pandemic caused parliament to be suspended, but we have every intention of moving forward on that measure, and potentially other measures, when parliament returns."
What epidemic of murders/crimes was he addressing by that legislation?
