To recap for the research challenged: Most New Yorkers don't have cars, so for essential workers to get to their jobs they need the subways. And the subways have been pretty empty because everyone else is staying home.
Why are we putting lives at risk by keeping the subways open?
People are smashed together in those cars despite the order that the rest of the country endures.
Aren't the lives of New Yorkers more important than the continued subway operation?
I would imagine this is the only means of transportation for many essential workers, especially healthcare workers. I'm sure they're not loving it either.
Am I a conservative now? It's hard to keep up, to ancaps I'm a socialist, to socialists I'm a conservative. I guess it just depends on what kind of extremist I'm talking to at the moment.
OP and bobbythegreat are conservatives/Republicans/statist libertarians in some form.
Why are they complaining about public transportation being open or being negative about it?
They're not complaining. They're bringing awareness to leftist hypocrisy by presenting a thought-provoking question. Unfortunately, some people seem too distracted to even think about the question.
