^This. Better the tyrant you know than the one waiting in the wings.
Intelligence agencies around the world probably have a list of possible replacements for Kim. It's quite possible that everyone on those lists are far worse than Kim.

If Kim's sis is allowed to be a place holder for Kim's son, she would probably be a worse tyrant. She might come about that naturally and/or may do it to avoid being assassinated by the Worker's Party.

So could she one day be leader?

In a word, no. North Korea adheres to highly Confucian — hierarchical and male-dominated — rules that would make it impossible for her to govern. “She can’t be leader. She’s a female,” said Lim Jae-cheon, a Kim family expert at Korea University in Seoul.

And then there is this..
Quote:
According to the NK News, a natural power struggle would ensue following Kim’s death. However, there’s a good chance that one of the top Workers’ Party members could take over, with Chairman of the Organization and Guidance Department Choe Ryong Hae being the top candidate.

Or China might try to take over, which might spark a war.

Most likely all world leaders, well except for Xi, would prefer having Kim than those who might succeed him.

Are you basing your opinion on what trump said?

Kim Jong Un is rumored to be dead, according to a Hong Kong broadcast network, while a Japanese magazine is reporting that North Korea’s rocket man is in a “vegetative state” after he underwent heart surgery earlier this month.

A vice director of HKSTV Hong Kong Satellite Television, a Beijing-backed broadcast network in Hong Kong, claimed that Kim was dead, citing a “very solid source.” Her post on the Chinese messaging app Weibo has been shared widely on social media, according to a report in the International Business Times.

Other unconfirmed reports, attributed to senior party sources in Beijing, said an operation to insert a stent went wrong because the surgeon’s hands were shaking so badly.

The surgeon's hands were shaking so badly because Kim is a thug and a brutal dictator. That is why one shouldn't instill fear in any who are in a position to help one...ever.

Interesting article ...

Today we have gotten another round of reports that Kim Jong Un has died. This time they have emanated from a Japanese news magazine, which lends more credibility to the possibility that they are true. The North Korean leader hasn't been seen in weeks and supposedly had undergone surgery on his heart that may have gone awry. A top Chinese medical team was reported to have been dispatched from Beijing to help the ailing dictator. The reality is that all or none of it could be true. Kim has disappeared before amid reports of his death, just to reappear weeks later. Regardless, there is a lot of sentiment that seems to celebrate his demise. Be careful what you wish for in this regard, here's why.

Have you seen a photo of Kim Jong Un lately? Judging from his picture, that dude has high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, and probably other obesity related illnesses. I could totally believe that the only fat person in NK had a cardiovascular event.

If they sent in a special medical team from China, and that appears to be true, then I would imagine he’s in rough shape if he’s still alive.

It can be difficult depending on the location (vessel/vessels) that need stenting. Then there is the issue of obesity and certain obstructive sleep apnea. Kim Jong Un would be an extremely challenging intubation is he had needed it. I'm placing my bets on low oxygen levels in the setting of a blocked artery leading to coma.

I would not be suprised if they find a look a like to drag out the "Hes not dead" as long as possible. I think hes gone, and has been that way for well over a week. The guy was a chain smoker, obese, guzzled booze and probably every Big Mac and Whopper he could get his hands on (he combined both into a mega sandwich)

He was the equivilent of Hitler. Good riddance. Problem is who comes next. If its his sister she could go all "new inmate in prison" and look to start trouble with us or another power to prove her mettle.

This whole year is nuts really.
