And only the nitwits will be out.

According to the polling data, just 20 percent of Americans would immediately return to normal activity once state restrictions are lifted, while 71 percent would wait to see whether the change in guidelines led to increased confirmed Covid-19 cases before deciding what to do. And 10 percent would continue limiting social contact regardless of developments.

Homework assignment: what happens if 20%-25% of the population is incapacitated by COVID-19 if nothing is done to slow the spread of the virus?
Correct. The poster you are talking to is posting on countless threads repeating the claim that the whole thing is a liberal conspiracy to collapse the economy and they do it because they hate America, Christians, Jews and Israel. Its pretty far out there.

It hasn't collapsed, it has been put on hold. When they re-open it will come back to normal quickly. Vast majority of States are scheduled to start re-opening April 30 or soon after.

I think it's super dumb that fishing is shut down. Aside from shore fishing on opening day which is shoulder to shoulder in some places, it's typically a nice quiet 0-dark thirty adventure via small boat for my household. We're launched, limited out, and back home in bed before 9am.
Also, where do you draw the line? Macy's and JcPenny's have those Frango chocolates, that's food. Maybe they can put in a couple chest freezers full of TV dinners and then open for business? Then on the other side of things, Lowes parking lot was FULL on Saturday with people buying stuff for projects.
There's three possibilities as to why things are being done the way they are, stupidity, control, or simply wanting to incur maximum damage to the economy and then deflect it as Trump's fault. Thing is, the feds have come through. Most people have received their Federal stimulus money, while all the unemployed and furloughed are getting from the state is overloaded systems and rejected claims.

In FL, marinas and boat ramps are closed, but if you have your boat in the water, you can go out. I went fishing on Sat and caught all kinds of fish. Its kind of eerie seeing all the cruise ships docked off shore, but it seems the Mahi-Mahis like to lurk underneath them. They are talking about reopening boat ramps and golf courses soon.
