I'm in Va also and I had 10 windows installed yesterday, with a team of at least 4 workers. My lawn guy still gets paid. I just bought $5k worth of gutters too.

Exactly. Im an owner of multiple real estate rentals and I just got 2 roofs done. Getting 2 poperties gut renovated. The crews are taking precautions as they should. We are continuing to help keep this economy afloat WHILE adhering to the expert advice and common sense. Those protestors are protesting just because...theres no good reason for it. Had they adhered to the guidance then maybe we all would be looking at the end of this sooner than later.

Yup. For those of you who support the lock down and want people to stay home indefinitely, how do you suggest they pay their bills and not end up in the poor house? Because the stimulus checks and unemployment won't be enough for many people..
Cannot have it both ways...the priority is either public health and safety...or its the economy, (MUST pick one).
The economy can always start over, from scratch if necessary, lives cannot be replaced.
They have been telling us for years that we all need to have a savings account, in case of things like this that come up, 6 months worth of your bills and expenses to be exact, if people refuse to prepare, how sorry can you feel for them really?
Nope this does not apply. Leftists initiated this panic. Blue state governors ordered the first lockdowns. Leftist media keeps stoking the fear hoping to keep the lockdowns in place. This coronavirus panic is y’all a baby and so is the depression you started. We conservatives or “bootstrapers” as you called us are filled with anger over the damage you people caused all of our lives. If our country is ruined anyway we have nothing to lose. If you try to impose your socialism we will likely overthrow it.
Our best chance to squash all leftism is total civil war. You folks just set up the situation where that has become much more likely. In a civil war the right has a massive advantage over the limp wristed left. I say bring on the history. Maybe this is how our country gets fixed and put back on the right track.....we get a chance to take out the garbage.
The virus is not conservative or liberal. If you want to blame anyone political party blame conservatives since they're the ones you did not stop the virus from spreading in the first place. If you want to make yourself sick then go then do so but don't expect other people to want to do that too.

Yeah, I'm ok. Because I am staying at home, not getting sick and not infecting others. If I and others like me cannot work because we are sick or dead, that is BAD for our economy.

I'm a 1099 worker whose work has slowed considerably, but the federal government can't seem to figure out how to provide unemployment for us. Whose fault is it if these workers aren't getting any assistence?
Well, good for you. Always know when someone says the protesters are selfish for not staying home, that someone is still getting a paycheck.
I am but I am socially distancing where and whenever I can. I'm not out with hordes of other people spreading a virus from one town to the next Wherever I Go. Because of the fact they have no concern for others and only care about their paycheck is what makes them selfish.

Sorry but those professions are going to suffer the most anyway at the moment because people are not going to go to them. Most polls show that people are too scared to do that now. They are going to suffer no matter what. You just don't have a clue.

Funny how that works isn't it? I mean, I'm still getting a paycheck too, but I'm not blinded to the struggles others are going through. I think those kinds of people mean well, they are just ignorant as to what is going on with the less fortunate. They really don't see why they can't just eat cake if they are starving.
