Oof, looks like the FDA is warning against using the dangerous "Trump Drug" outside of the hospital now that some actual studies have been done and it's been found to cause fatal heart incidents. Turns out there was a risk after all and that people saying, "let's slow down and see what medical professionals and evidence-based science has to say before simply going off of what a reality TV show host says," might have been onto something.

Who said the drug had no risks? You ever see commercials for drugs on TV, and listen to all the side effects listed? Some of them cause sudden random death. Yet people are still prescribed these drugs because they help people live, survive disease, live a better life, etc. That's why doctors prescribe them and millions of Americans accept the risks and take their medications as instructed.
Azithromicyn also causes irregular heartbeats and death. Remdesivir causes side effects. Still no word from fda on that. Hmmm
The irregular heartbeats from Zpack are well-known in medical circles. All drugs cause side effects and yes, the FDA has warnings on all kinds of things, including Advil. But people were jumping up and down over Trump knowing that this "very safe" medication carried "no risk" and should be given out nilly willy. It was the miracle cure! I'm sure you can go through this forum and find all of the posts about the "Trump drug." People who were saying "let's wait on the studies" just wanted people to die from not taking the Trump Drug!
OMG - this drug has been used for years on Lupus and other thing for years. No matter the drug - there are risks associated with it and if you think there aren't read any medication insert - as well as OTC. Some just like to keep stirring the pot.
Because the FDA would only let this be used as a last ditch effort on the most critically ill is why we've had so many deaths already as overseas they have been using this from the get go and have had great success. Doctors here are prescribing it for patients - under the rouse of another problem because the FDA had not approved it for other than end of life cases. Finally someone has opened their eyes and will give Americans a fighting chance.
