Why? Because it is about the science, not what party you are with.
The only GOP governors grounding their babies until June and July are RINOs like Hogan and Baker.

Or, you know, people who are actually following the federal guidelines.

You should go out and protest.

As long as the hospital system can handle the load, then there is no excuse for keeping people locked down.

There will be more cases, more hospitalizations and more deaths. The goal of the shutdowns was to "flatten the curve" so that the hospital system would not be overwhelmed. It was not then and is not now the purpose to stop this virus from spreading, as that is inevitable. There is no way to stop it.

The sooner we establish herd immunity, the sooner we will be done with this. At least until the next virus comes along. And it will.

How does a Curve get flattened when you're ringing the dinner bell for the virus with these reopenings? I may as well go turn on the sprinkler outside since its raining right now

Only time will tell, and there is no point arguing with some. We will only know in hindsight.

I'm fine with that. As I said, time will tell, and I'm fine to wait and see. There is always the possibility that the weather will affect the virus. So any mistakes we make with opening up will have little impact, if that turns out to be true.

It will be really interesting (sadly) to see how these middle America states that believe "it could never happen to us" will react when it happens to them. America had the benefit of a European preview of covid-19 and it squandered it. Now middle America has had a preview of what happens when coastal American states squander their chance to squash this thing like Germany or Hong Kong (or what happens when you don't, like in Brazil or Sweden) and still decided to squander it.

I guess nothing could be more American than getting bored with a pandemic, taking the short term approach, ultimately failing miserably, and then declaring success. We shut down just long enough to tank the economy but not long enough to defeat the virus. That's the American way!

Not before they jailed one salon owner and fined her $7000 dollars for trying to feed her kids.

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/cour...ng-salon-open/

The rage and hate you can feel, over a fake virus. Because some tyrants wanna tell you the exact day you can step in to your own business. While banks are still allowed to charge you for debt, or take away your real assets.

In the land of free, where people so ****ing sick and tired of tyranny, made the ultimate choice to risk their lives so that they could free their generations afterwards, completely and utterly ****ing slaved again.

It is not possible to "tank the virus" by shutting down.

The control freak Democrat governors are going to have some 'splainin' to do to their constituents when it is summertime and their people are still under lockdown, while states like Texas are getting back to normal.

And as long as the hospital capacity is sufficient to handle to load of the increased number of cases that is surely coming, then Governor Abbott and Texas will have made the right call.
