2- only
-Because he gave in and let the experts drive ...for a bit-
-In time- the truth will come out about the INTEL I keep talking about, and how much was known, before action was taken.
-He cut the WHO to shift blame, and the OTHER countries have continued to support the WHO
-played political games with the states and PPE and equipment etc.
-further divided the country- approved the protesters with OUT PPE- going against local governments
-has not filled countless positions in the government who could be a part of the solution for these and other types of events.
-no plans in place, as trusts no one
-dishonest answers or made up ones, - further causing harm

I gave him a "4."

What Trump should have done is declare a federal emergency. Trump could have done so pursuant to §1631 of the Act by merely issuing an Executive Order.

Under that Act, Trump should have placed all hospitals in the US under the control of FEMA.

FEMA's job is not to micromanage or meddle, but to coordinate resources between hospitals.

Those resources include medical personnel, equipment, supplies and pharmaceuticals.

Coordination means shifting those resources from low density areas where you would anticipate a low incidence of disease to high density areas where you would expect large numbers of patients.

It would also necessitate activating Army Reserve and Army National Guard medium lift units, yeah, Hawks and Chinooks, to facilitate the transfer of patients from overcrowded hospitals to hospitals that were not approaching capacity.

Thousands of lives might have been saved had that happened.

I know the idea of hospital staff heroically working 24/7 is classic American Romanticism, but you have to wonder about the quality of healthcare provided by people who've only slept 3 hours in the last 4 days.

Not to mention it wasn't necessary for them to work so hard if there had been even an iota of coordination.

Without stepping on the 10th amendment, he has done what he he could to not encroach upon the rest of the Bill of Rights, unlike many think he should.

If it wasn't for New York, I'd have given Trump a 9.

Not sure how that turns into a 9. If he realized they were "lying their asses off" why exactly did he pass all this guidance and push everyone to shutdown the country?

He denied it was a problem when he should have been empowering the country to prepare and mitigate.

I’m shocked that five people so far have given him a perfect 10. I’m sure that anyone can look back and say “I wish I would have done this or that differently.” I think someone could only earn a perfect 10 if no lives had been lost.
I’m also shocked that so many people gave him a One. I think if he had done nothing and we kept doing business as usual, we would see so much worse. So many more lives lost.

I think he's doing at least as well as other presidents did in the last 5 pandemics. Oh, wait. I forgot. We've NEVER HAD A PANDEMIC BEFORE. Give the guy a break, he's doing the best he can.

Bimodal distributions like this are an indicator of strong bias. Especially when you have a peak at the minimum or maximum, like what the poll currently shows.
