1996 Court Record Specifically Mentions Sexual Harassment in Biden's Office
Well, this is certainly interesting.
It won't go away. Biden's campaign will not reply to this, per the article.
Quote:
A court document from 1996 shows former Senate staffer Tara Reade told her ex-husband she was sexually harassed while working for Joe Biden in 1993.
The declaration — exclusively obtained by The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, California — does not say Biden committed the harassment nor does it mention Reade’s more recent allegations of sexual assault.
Reade’s then-husband Theodore Dronen wrote the court declaration.
From the declaration
Quote:
On several occasions Petitioner related a problem that she was having at work regarding sexual harassment, in U.S. Senator's Joe Biden's office. Petitioner told me she eventually struck a deal with the chief of staff pf the Senator's office and left her position.
If Reade can prove something in a court of law, let her. Until then, Biden is innocent of whatever she is accusing.
I agree. But what about #BelieveAllWomen? MeToo? Seems like the rules change depending on who is being accused.
Also, Biden doesn't support the same standard of evidence for college students. For them, There's no due process. The accused is assumed to be guilty first and even with exculpatory evidence, they still punish them.
That's the essence of the Biden problem: Changing rules, double standards, and the people who jump on the bandwagon to claim principle and moral superiority have lost any claim to credibility. So has Biden.
That document, like her still-missing complaint, supports her original claim that she was sexually harassed by one of Biden’s staffers by asking her to serve drinks because she had nice legs not that that Biden sexually assaulted her.

Bad news for Biden. Reade sure doesn't sound like a Republican.
I would say stand up and take full account for what you’ve done and for your past treatment of women,” Reade told The Tribune in a phone interview on May 1, when asked what she would like to say to her former boss. “He holds himself up as a champion of women, but the fact remains that his personal life did not reflect his public life.”
“I want him to address it, and admit it, and modify his behavior, and step down,” she added.
“The fact that we have two men running for the highest office in the land, both with a history of misogyny and sexual misconduct, says more about our culture than anything,” she said.
Meh. I don’t think too many people are going to be swayed by learning that one of Biden’s staff sexually harassed someone thirty years ago.
