I'm middle of the pack or above within my extended family re overall traveling, but I'm one of the few people who has never been to Hawaii.
Eventually I'll go for some extended visits, but I don't think I could ever live there. Too much 'vehicular isolation'.
I've had family members who have lived there, but they aren't family members who care as much as I do about being able to get in the car and just drive, drive, drive.
DH is retired AF, so he has been to about 50 countries, and while we would like to travel out of the country, that is pretty much off the table for awhile.
We will have just as much fun with a 5th wheel and travel the US. So much to do!!!!

"If you must travel, follow any state and local travel restrictions currently in place. It is possible that some state and local governments may put in place travel restrictions, stay-at-home or shelter-in-place orders, mandated quarantines upon arrival, or even state border closures while you are traveling. For more information and travel guidance, check with the state or local health department where you are, along your route, and at your planned destination. Just because there are no restrictions at the time you plan to leave does not mean there won’t be restrictions in place when you arrive."

If we are in an RV we are quarantined. But no, we aren't going to do much traveling until things start to open up more, like parks. I have no desire to go stay in an RV park where everyone is bumper to bumper.
Otherwise, we would just go to visit family and stay on the street. My sister said there are a lot of RVs outside of houses in her neighborhood.
We haven't even bought one yet, we are quite busy now getting the yard in order, and growing a garden and such.

One, do not be surprised if you are pulled over by hwy patrol and asked, what is your essential business is, being from out-of-state and two ... one has to get food and fuel up an RV ... at that point you are not quarantined.

Again, not going out until stuff opens up.

Your inability to differentiate incarceration with inconvenience is the real crime.
No doubt.

But we cannot say that with any certainty.
There are 3 possibilities based on past behaviors:
1) It dies out like COVID-2/SARS did.
2) It goes the way of Spanish Flu, sweeping through in a 2nd wave and then dying out.
3) it is here to stay and now we have Corona Season just like Flu Season or Corona-Flu Season.
One of the major differences between all corona virus strains and all influenza virus strains is that antibodies for influenza last far longer than corona virus strains.
That's why Spanish Flu died out. There were no hosts left, because it killed everyone and those it didn't kill had sufficient antibodies to stop it.
How long does immunity for COVID-19 last?
Well, do have a partial answer. A recently concluded test showed 207 people became re-infected.
The good new is that 39 were asymptomatic, but that's only 18.8%.
I don't know when they were originally infected, but it's reasonable to assume it was during January/February.
Since the test was concluded April 22, they had to have been re-infected during the last week of March or first 2 weeks of April, which suggests immunity is short-lived.
If that's the case, it will truly suck from here on out.
If you remember, a couple days ago WHO said there's no evidence immunity is lasting, and that statement was based on that study.

That brings us back to the OP ... it feels like prison when?
Here we are... we are all forced to in our homes, we can't go out and do anything: no movies, no bars, no shopping, no fun. And the only thing we can do is get groceries.
I mean seriously we are all prisoners.
Now we are in the situation where we are hoping and praying every day that our overlords will let us get back to our lives.
And of course, we all thought that would happen when the cases went down.
But they aren't going down.
They just go on and on every day. More or less the same as the day before.
And question becomes... are we ever going to get out of this prison?
Will our imprisoners ever "let" us go back?
You have never been in prison. Because if you had, you wouldn't have asked this question.
Not sure about you, but I can still leave when I want, go outside, take a drive, shop at a few stores, etc. That's not prison.

Because we can't do something? I'm not some spoiled child. I will do other things, and have fun doing them.
