Some countries have been hit hard, while others not as much. Not all can be explained by social distancing? Or, maybe those low virus countries just aren't reporting? Or not enough testing to verify the virus in those countries?
It can be one, it can be all three. I don't know and I'm sure no one does for sure why a single country might have a lower rate and it you look at another it can be very different reasons.

Thanks for the response. I was wondering why you felt that your original response was either informative or appropriate.

Sheila Jackson Lee date was 4/6
Desantis date was 4/20
Pence date was 4/28

We were in Hong Kong on 2/15 and 2/16. Millions of their citizens wore masks. In fact it was almost universal. We saw lots of masked that slipped occasionally especially when people were speaking. It happens. Surgical masks in particular aren't quite as snug and secure as the N95's.

Getting used to wearing masks takes awhile. They're somewhat uncomfortable and yes, they can slip. They are however cheap and effective mitigation against this type of contagion. They protect those who are asymptomatic from spreading the disease unwittingly. Check the stats from Taiwan and Hong Kong and compare to the U.S. Pence and his team should have been modeling social distancing and masks from the beginning.

Pence deliberately ignored Mayo Clinic guidelines so that he could "look them in the eye and say thank you" even though everyone else was wearing masks and even though he was in close proximity to patients. He subsequently claimed that he was unaware of the guidelines. Pence's wife then told a propaganda outlet that he was unaware of the policies although pool reporters vehemently denied this and said that masks were a condition of their participation. Pence then threatened to retaliate against those reporters. Finally, Pence admits he should have worn a mask.

I have shot guns all my life, and Hannity is right here, and I'm not for any gun laws....all it takes is one bat **** crazy person to start physical violence and both sides start shooting....this was wrong to do

Now I will say that that I watched the Michigan governor was speaking today and she said they were flying flags, including Nazi flags...I didn't see any? So maybe there was some real nut jobs there, all the more reason to not carry rifles...there are though, nuts on both sides of the playing field...and to wield rifles, was wrong for many reasons.

I know the larger part of the protest in the media was in the Senate chamber. I am not sure how much it the lawn was shown. That said in previous rallies there were a number of rebel flags and I know one rally over the last few days in Illinois, someone had the Auschwitz slogan in German on a sign. https://abcnews.go.com/US/nazi-sloga...ry?id=70480524

Just showing that dems also have do the exact same thing....wearing a mask incorrectly, is just as bad as not having one on. Did not think I would have to get down to kindergarten easy.

I lived in SK, from Jan 1999 - Jan 2020, and again, from 2005 - 2009. Do you honestly think, they only started wearing masks when this started? Laughable...And yes, mask slip, are you saying that wearinga mask wrong, is just as good as wearing it correctly?

Herman said the tweet enraged Pence's staff, who said he had violated off-the-record terms for a planning memo sent before the visit — which said masks are required for everyone traveling with the vice president. But Herman's tweet came two days after the trip had already happened.

She lied, plain and simple, as most Democrats do. There were no Nazi flags at the protest. Period, end of story.

How would you know that? There certainly was at least one confederate flag. I would also think the Governor's sources to be vastly bigger and better than yours.

Three to four weeks, we will see what is what.

What are they doing wrong: not following the federal guidelines

That is why the IMHE has increased the projected death toll, and almost doubled it.
did you know that hospital staff are instructed to write on every death certificate that the reason of death was COVID-19, regardless if they died of a heart attack, stroke, lung disease, cancer?

There have been several people who came forward who confronted whoever wrote that on the death certificates and those people said, "We did what we were told to do".

Also, there are so many more tests now, that yes, more people will show up positive, of course...remember just a week ago, two weeks ago, people were not going out. And there are also false positives and false negatives....

I know someone who works in a bank, a co-worker came down with it....she tested positive, and they cleaned the whole bank professionally....meaning they bought in special cleaners to disinfect everything.
I was really scared for people I know who worked their and their family. Guest what, it's been 3 weeks and no one else in that bank was infected....why? There could be many reasons, but I'm thinking maybe she had a simply flu, and test positive anyway? Who knows....

Right or wrong, nothing is written in stone with this thing....

This I do know, businesses have to start opening up soon....they must....what I would suggest to the restaurants is, ok, open up, but distance your tables appropriately. No you won't be able to crowd your business with over booking like you used to, but something is better than nothing for a while.
