Now many governors are hinting that it’s actually “until there’s a vaccine” which some say can take up to two years

Is this sustainable?

The vice president is out here visiting patients without wearing a mask, the covfefe in chief thinks it's a hoax. If they're not taking it seriously and trying to avoid catching it and spreading it, the general public won't either.
I've gone out every day, gotten my coffee, hung out with my neighbors, showed clients homes, listing appointments, and never once contracted a virus. Actually I'm pretty sure my whole family had Covid back in late October/early November of last year, we all came down with fever and dry coughs and I'd never experienced those symptoms before in any other illness I've had. We were all coughing and sick for a few days and it went away quickly.

But that couldn't be because the media would have you believe this started in Jan 2020.

So they lied then. The real plan was to shut down the country until there is a vaccine

I’ll do know such thing. I’ve already said I favor opening up. What I don’t favor is stupid individuals who think this is nothing to fear and will spread the disease. Then we will have other shutdowns. Lives and our economy depend on individuals behaving in a responsible manner.

Responsibility is the flip side of liberty.

I got my haircut cut Saturday. Myself and the barber both wore masks. I ate out. Tables were six feet apart. Waiters wore masks. Wiped down tables with disinfectant between customers. I feel safe eating there with my diabetic wife with chronic kidney disease.

The recovery depends on people feeling safe while engaging in economic activity.

Once again, responsibility is the flip side of safety.

Osterholm must be right. The moment California let down its guard the last few weeks or so infections and deaths started to rise. Osterholm called it. This disease will dictate its own terms.

well, hopefully we all know how to be cautious around the more vulnerable. If we stay 6ft away, how much does that help? If we wash and disinfect around the vulnerable, how much does that help?

I don't understand your post.

What exactly are they "hinting" at? What is "it" in the context of your post?

Majority of experts are wrong in all fields of research.
Always been the case, just that COVID-19 experts are receiving more publicity than experts of other fields.....so we are seeing them fall flat on their faces publicly.
