Allow States to determine MW for their State. Federal law creating essential workers wage of $15 an hour - $600 a week.

Agree or disagree???

Sure thing. Government price & wage controls have historically worked wonderfully, every time they've been tried, so why not do it again?

ARE YOU CRAZY?!

If you like the fact that health insurance is largely tied to employment, keep pushing for government control over wages. You'll get a lot more of that kind of thing. Wage controls are the reason that situation exists in the first place, so if you want more of that, go for it.

Other opition is allow States to create their own minimum wage guidelines

Have a federal tax prebate of $1500 a month and $2000 a month for essential workers

Frankly, minimum wage workers should unionize across trades and go on strike. Not specifically for higher wages, but due to how they were all mostly discarded by their employers at a moment's notice due to coronavirus.

Generally speaking, if a job is that tenuous, it should come with higher pay. For example, let's say I'm a software developer that works on a contract. I can be laid off at any time (like a minimum wage worker). The employer can offer to extend the contract as well. However, I only accept that contract because the pay rate is high enough that I can accept the risk if they choose to fire me. Or lay me off for any reason (such as coronavirus).

With job insecurity should come higher pay. It is that simple.

If there's no minimum wage illegals would flood the country working for peanuts and put Americans out of work.

States would dictate minimum wage. The incentive to either apply for citizenship or are a citizen would be the monthly tax prebate eligible for of $1500-$2000 a month.

no. federal mandated minimum wage is idiotic. 15(or whatever) an hr is not the same in lets say AZ as it is in NY. For that matter 15hr is not the same in Buffalo as it is in NYC. let states and cities set the wage if they deem it necessary.

It must be asked if an employee brings $15/hr (+ overhead) in value to a business? Does a pickle tosser at McD's bring such value? The govt has no part in determining the value which an employee adds, only the stakeholders in that business should be making such a call.

Are people your slaves? Why should anybody be forced to pay for services or products at above the fair market rate?
